Hello. I picked up a kitten she's about 9 months now. Was wondering what kind of cat she might be. They all look the same to me lol. I read a discription about a Chinese dragon cat and it fits well. Any ideas?

Can't tell in pictures but her eyes are green around the pupil then yellow outside of that. From what I read that was another trait of those Chinese cats.

She is a beauty, that's for sure! I do think that her being a Dragon Li is very unlikely, these are very rare cats, so rare, in fact that there are not enough around to even be recognized as a breed by the CFA. But that doesn't mean she's any less special! Domestic Shorthair Cats (aka mixed breeds) all have a super unique purr-sonaliy and appearance. I can see how she's the cutest kitten you ever saw!

Agree. Domestic shorthair, mackerel brown tabby with white.  You could say tabby tuxedo.

Brown means here, her stripes are black.   Its probably this which gives her this brownish coloring on parts of her fur.

But there is a small possibiility she carries red for real, ie is a sort of tortie and tabby (usually called for torbie).  Torties has often green eyes.

So, if you see somewhere a more clear red patch on her, she is such a tortie-torby.

If its just vaguely brownish fur, she is regular tabby with white....

And re chinese names...  You are a breed because of proven ancestry, not because you happen to be a somewhat look alike.

Thanks I like hearing what you think. What all started this was me trying to figure out how to get her in a diet. Then I found that dragon cat and the article I read matched up. They also from what I read are husky cats. One page I read described them as the line backers of cats. His fits her perfectly. Even the spots on here belly was descriptors. She doesn't have any red.

Now I don't believe she is anyway a pure breed of that type just thought maybe she had some in here. I was actually thinking about a DNA test Just for fun if they are not that expensive.
