Hi there!

I started this account mostly to thank you all for this forum. The last year I have been working with my soon to be 16 year old tabby, who had been licking the hair off her legs and stomach, throwing up almost daily, and being a bump on the couch. Time and time again, my research kept bringing me back to this site.

I'm happy to say that after an eliminaton diet and the help of our vet, we've removed chicken, turkey, and grains (she's been grain free for the last 5 years already) from her diet and I have a happy and healthy best friend again :) No more throwing up, no more balding, no more steroid shots!

I also have a 8 year old tortie named Lydia who is my picky eater but has been pretty accepting of the changes in the household.

Additionally, I have two male quaker parrots, Jingo (6) and Bobber (age unknown), as well as a leopard gecko named Tuchanka (3).

I'm also a mom to a 2 year old son, so my days are pretty busy!

Anyways, thanks again for this forum and all the information contained!

What a nice note! I'm so glad TCS was helpful with the issues with your kitty. Glad to hear she's doing well again.

We'd love to see photos of your tribe! (When you have time to post some, it sounds like you're busy). :lol3:

Pictures incoming!

Jasmine, my best friend of all her 16 years, with my son who she tolerates so well! (older photo, he's 2 now)

Lydia, been with us all of her 8 years:

Jingo, been with us all of his 5 years:

Bobber, a rehome of unknown age who has been with us almost 2 years:

And finally, Tuchanka, who has been with us 3 years of his suspected 3.5 year life thus far:

And my son too, learning how to use my camera apparently LOL

Welcome!
Loved the story and the photos! I bet it can get noisy there with a toddler and two quakers
I'm not sure about the cat but hopefully at least the gecko is quiet!

I'm so glad you found helpful advice here!

It does get loud for sure! The only quiet one is the gecko. Lydia is a "talker" and has to articulate every move. Jasmine is very vocal in short spurts with a meow that is quite commanding :lol3:
