My beautiful female cat is 15 and is very good health. She isn't spayed . Came to live with me and my partner. She's been an indoor cat but will no doubt wander outdoors when the weather warms up. Any advice welcome thanks.

Welcome to the site, and bless you for giving her a home. A fifteen year old cat is geriatric, I have one too. Their needs are a little different, having a warm bed is a number one priority for their old bones. I have a heated cat bed for all of my cats in the winter and they truly appreciate it. Most are around 4-12 watts so use very little electricity, and you can often get them on sale at farm supply stores like Tractor Supply or Orschelns. They may be a little pickier on what they eat, mine is at the point he only accepts an Arbeys roast beef or pouched food called Perfectly Chicken. Unless you can be with her to watch, I wouldn't let her outside by herself either, she may not wander far but there are many dangers out there and wandering dogs can bring heartache. I really think now would be a good time to let her enjoy her remaining years in the comfort of a loving home.Vets visits are stressful, but can diagnose problems that usually can be managed at home, my senior has an enlarged heart so has been on Lasix for going on three years now and is doing fine.  Pills can usually be broken and 'cemented' to bacon with a small piece of cat Pill Pocket or hidden in a small amount of tuna and are usually taken without a struggle. I wish you all the luck, she will give you love and happiness, you are lucky to have her share her life's journey with you and will be the richer for it!
