So I will need to collect urine from my cat to check if she has UTI. How to do that? The gave less than a teacup of fake plastic kitty litter saying she would fall for it. And I do not see my cat being that gullible.

Any clever ideas?

I have done this two ways depending upon the nature of the cat.

1. Put the granules the Vet gave you in a CLEAN litter pan with a liner.  No other litter.  Cat will go in special granules. Hold up liner and pour special litter with urine in container Vet gave you.

2.  When cat is headed for litter box, slide shallow clean plastic or aluminum foil pan (like a small pie pan) under cat while urinating.  Pour urine into container Vet gave you.

You can also use clean fish tank gravel / pebbles instead of the small amount of plastic pellets the vet gave you. Use a brand new clean litter box and pour in enough gravel to fill the bottom. After your cat pees, tip the box to pool up the urine into a corner and pour into a container.

You may also be bale to slide a long handled ladel or a cup under your cat's tail as she pees.

A free urine ctach isn't he best way to determine if a cat has a urinary issue. Urine gets contaminated with bacteria as it exits the body. A sterile sample through a cyystocensis is best and is done by a vet. I believe http://catinfo.org/feline-urinary-tract-diseases/ has more info about how urinary issues are diagnosed.
