My cat won't stop going to neighbours house

I got my kitten a few weeks ago, and she seems to have fallen in love with the next door neighbour. The girl next door is only thirteen or twelve, and for as long as I can remember she's loved cats but her parents won't let her get any, so naturally, when I got one she was super excited because there was a new kitten in the neighbourhood. I allowed her to pet it and play with it within the first week, and from then on it just constantly waits for her. Every day the cat will hide in a new place, trying to sneak into the neighbours house. If there are no windows open she will wait for the neighbour to get home from school so whenever she opens the door she can sprint in as soon as possible. I'm not blaming the girl for any of this- she's only young, and she isn't feeding it and whenever she sees it in her house she will always return it immediately. It's barely coming home because it's always waiting for the girl, and since the girl likes to spend a lot of time outside I'll see her petting the cat and it just seems to love her more than anyone else in the world. Do I just get used to my kitten loving someone else more than me, do I let the girl spend more time with th kitten? They both seem to be very happy together, but to be fair it's like my baby so of course I'll want to keep her and cuddle her. Do I lightly let the girl down and ask her to stop petting my kitten so much? Should I keep the cat inside and let her become an indoor cat?
Thanks xx

How old is your cat? Is she spayed?

We cannot really tell you what to do here.  I, personally don't let my cats outside anymore because I've had a couple of them get killed by dogs, and that is not acceptable.

You could keep your kitten inside and let the girl come over to visit, if you chose.  I suspect the kitten enjoys the girls company because she gives it her full attention, and you may be busy with "life".  It's hard to say.   Are you gone from home a lot?  maybe your kitten needs another kitten for a playmate.

Sorry that I didn't reply sooner! I may or may not have forgotten my password lol. That's what I don't understand, I am always willing to give full attention to my kitten but she would rather play with the girl rather than me, i work from home so I'm always here. I am going to take your advice and keep her inside and invite the girl over, thank you for the advice [emoji]128524[/emoji]
