Hello Ive just joined. I'm new to this. My sons cat got pregnant sometime before Christmas and I believe she's eight weeks now. I've been able to see the kittens move around and feel them for two weeks and her colostrum is in. If I rub her nipple it leaks some. She has been sleeping most of the day and night and jumps from room to room. She isbt vocal never has been and we've had her since she was 4 wks old. (Yes we will be getting her spayed after this litter we wanted her to have one with our Maine coon. We didn't realize she had gone into heat when she had we had a lot going on.) I have everything ready for when the kittens come. Just curious what are the tell tale signs for early labor. Since she isn't vocal to begin and pretty independent will she still warm me or let me know? She has begun to cling to me and follow me around. Which is strange for her because the only person she likes and loves is our two yr old. She now has to be in the room with the family at all times.

Have you gotten your male fixed yet?

It sounds like she is already warming to you.

Yes we have after we confirmed with vet she is pregnant. It's been month for him. Vet said three kittens. But everything was fine and good and just call if any problems with delivery.

Is mom eating unlimited dry food every day? And wet food in addition?

Have you picked up emergency supplies? Kitten milk replacer? Needleless syringes? A small scale?

And do you plan to spay and neuter before they are rehome? That's best!

She does. I have her eating kitten chow and I give her fresh water every two hours.
The vet wants two schedule that two weeks after they're born. I have formula as well.

Your vet wants to spay mom 2 weeks after birth? That's too soon. Mom can be spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old.

Will you be getting the kittens done as well?

No she wants me to schedule the kittens after two weeks born for when they're eight weeks. She wants to schedule ahead of time for all of them. So they get done at same time.

My cat is now 9 wks pregnant and her vulva seems to be swollen and open slightly and possibly blood mixed with clear discharge she cleans it up and doesn't look like there's much. Is this the beginning?

She started to have brownish pink like discharge and is pretty swollen but she isn't acting restless or anything just sleeping. Is that normal it's not a lot but is clumping up so I did clean her bottom with warm washcloth.

It's fine. It's normal for pre-labor and early labor. She's getting there!

Everything has been same. She's gotten more swollen and her belly has gotten bigger. Should be any day now. This was her later due date.

My girl is due any day now. I've seen and felt babies move for past three weeks now. But she's acting as if she's in heat?? She's putting her butt in air and flipping her tail over. Is this normal towards the end?
