We adopted Willow from a shelter when she was 7 weeks old. She has blue eyes. She's not a purebred or anything like that, but people always ask me, "What breed is she?" And I usually say, "Ummm she's white-ish? And naughty!" Ha ha. Just looking for opinions on what you all think!

Domestic Short Hair is breed. Essentially mixed heritage cat.

Coloring is what makes her unique. Between the color change with age and blue eyes....... Tortoiseshell Pointed.

Pointed is the same gene that gives Siamese their known coloring. In the Siamese their body color is a solid color and the pointed makes them darker at their extremities. In this case your girls coat coloring is tortie but the pointed gene basically muted it. Almost making her look like a dusty tortie in her case. Over time with exposure to cold and age she will likely continue to get darker.

She is quiet lovely.

Isn't she just beautiful???? Oh my goodness, I just love her so much! Just the sassiest little thing! And so cuddley [emoji]10084[/emoji]️ Yes, she is definitely getting darker and darker! My friend saw her last week for the first time in 2 months and said she looked darker than at Christmas. Thanks for the help! Pointed tortoiseshell domestic short hair is a better description than "white-ish" ha ha!

Here's another with her litter mates, all females except the orange tabby. Willow is in the very front.

Kieka's quite right, of course - there appears to be a large portion of Evil Siamese in Willow.  Has she developed that awful delightful Siamese howl voice yet?

She truly is absolutely gorgeous - and welcome to the TCS Forum, by the way !

I agree, but think she is sooner a diluted calico point.   She seems to be diluted, and she carries white, the coloring in nice fields, not a mosaic. - thus, calico, not tortie with white.    And obviously a point too...   :)

One parent was a point, the other parent a non pointed carrier of the point gene.

Its probably possible to analyse forward the exact color game of each parents, but I dont have the patience for it now at this moment...

No yowl! She has the cutest little "meep!" And a little silent meow where she opened her mouth and meows, but no sound comes out! Even my friends who are cat lovers think she's adorable. Just the sweetest personality! Except when she's dipping her paws in your drink and then shaking it everywhere! It's hard to get red wine stains out of white peets! Ha ha

I was thinking maybe calico but her back made me think more tortie. But those two are not my area so I will bow down to StefanZ on diluted calico.
