We wanted some input as to what type of cat our Rocky could be. He is a rescue kitten, now a bit over 6 months old. Hes a handsome boy and we just love him as a new addition to the family. Any ideas? Thanks much!
Domestic medium hair, DMH. The great majority of all cats are domestics.
The pattern is mackerel tabby, called also for stirped or tigrered in other languages. The color will probably be called for brown, he he is grayish / bluish, but the stripes are in black, not a darker grey/blue.
I never had a cat with anything other than short hair so I had no clue other than calling him a long haired cat. I suppose it will be easier to take care of his medium hair than if he had long hair. When we first got him from our son in college who rescued him (and was unable to keep him due to lease constrictions)
he was approximately 3 weeks old and weighed only 12 ounces but was strong and healthy. This is a pic of him during our first week when he was almost 4 weeks old.
