I took in a beautiful cat my neighbors didn't want the poor girl but my fixed male brought the cute little girl home a few times and I took the hint, so she's mine, my neighbors told me they don't want her, I have their permisson to keep her for me and my Bobcat's new adoptee.... I just realized that she is pregnant!!!! She's tiny, compared to my big Bobcat..... Anyway, I think she's pregnant, licking her tummy, enlarged nipples, feeling kittens in her tummy and her tummy looks and feels occupied!!! I thought mid March? But sooner?? She's licking her self slot very affectionate to me, but I don't want her having the little guys in or under my bed!!!

Welcome to TCS! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Thank you for taking her in! So sweet of your resident boy to bring her home where she will be well cared for now.

Yes, she sounds pregnant for sure, and perhaps fairly well along. Once you can see/feel kitten movement it's usually 2-3 weeks before delivery.

Are you feeding her unlimited dry kitten chow and wet food? Have you made a nest for her in a cozy, private place such as a closet? Have you had experience with kittens?

Please keep her inside now at all times for the safety of the kittens. Please post a picture of the kitty. Would love to see your male cat as well! [emoji]128571[/emoji]

Thanks for your help, I appreciate having someone to talk to about this... dry food and water and clean litter are always available, occasional treats, tuna fish especially, that's always very fun they get soooooooo excited so it's fun for me as well... I made a little fort for Stormy, the expecting mom, she's a petite little girl, about two years old..The other morning I woke up because my foot was wet and cold!!! Stormy is leaking amniotic fluid, it's not pee, I have a bright white comforter and it would be obvious of it was pee, she's been leaking now ever since, it's her first litter, I'm very worried but I can't afford to take her to get an ultrasound and all that, I have to leave it in God's hands... Last night I was sure she was having them, now she's fine, playing with my other cat, Bob, (he is fixed, so he's not the father)... Is this normal for a first delivery?

No, leaking amniotic fluid is not normal, unless followed by delivery of kittens. I'm concerned now too. Some clear vaginal discharge is normal in end of term pregnant cats, but not amniotic fluid.

Can you still see or feel kitten movement?

You ought to take her to a vet to find out what's going on. There's a lot a vet can tell without doing an ultrasound, and it won't cost so much

I'm embarrassed but it was drool!!! Not amniotic fluid, she was curled up in a ball the way they do and since her face was near her butt I mistook the drool for amniotic fluid!!!!! I figured it out when I saw her sitting up drooling .. She drinks lots of water, I leave two fresh water bowls out and keep them full of fresh water.. I've felt the kittens moving a lot the past few days. She threw up a few days ago also. I'm guessing it's nausea due to pregnancy. She likes the private little fort I made for her, it's secluded and has a spot where my other cat is too big to get into, so she and her kittens are safe and secure... I don't think that he would hurt any of them but can't be too safe. Thank you for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated!!
