My cat when she went to poop one time her legs were sticked with sand and i grabbed a glove and touched here and there and they fell off but there were some that were more sticked to the fur so i pulled lightly and pulled out a string like thing. Is it normal or is it bad? I think the vet put it becuse before I bought it (its a new female kitty) the owner said he got it some vitamins and the doctor gived a pill to kill the bacteria if there are any... Please advise

I really like the kitty, and also I really was saving to buy it and I dont want nothing bad happening to her, becuse:

1.I love her

2.My parents won't let me have a kitty another time (so ill go emo,get depressed and hate my life like the time my first cat died and now i finally have a kitty!0

3.Its a very special persian cat, and very kind to me.

4.Its expensive (As i said i was saving a lot of money, but it was worth it) Its 350 leva (wich is 175 euro)

Im going to cry if it isn't okay please, please help me!

Hi @viktorpetrov

Welcome to The Cat Site. What a cute kitten!

Don't worry, the string like thing you pulled off of her was probably just a worm. It's very common for cats to pick up worms. If your vet gave her medicine to kill worms it's normal for a dead one to come out in her poop.

If you find any more or if your kitten has diarrhea she may need a second dose of the worming medicine to get rid of them completely. Make sure you take her to the vet to get the medicine. The cheap ones you can buy in shops aren't safe.

It's so nice to hear how much you love your kitten already. What's her name?

You might want to try a different brand of cat litter if the litter continues to stick to her.
The sticking might just be because she has diarrhea, so it won't be a problem
I don't know what types of litter are available to you, so I don't have any advice. Some types are more like pellets or larger particles and might not stick as much.
Your kitten is beautiful. Enjoy your new companion

Thanks! Right now im using for sand ,,Kitty 's garden'' and the actual litter box is a pawise gray one. When i clean her litter i dont see diarrhea, but maybe when she lick herself, she wets the fur and thats why they stick, but thanks for the information i will try to find other sand.!

I was going to call her Fluffy but my parents wanted a more Christmasy feel for the name becuse she is born on 24 of december,so we I called her Kristina and my mom and dad call her Hristina becuse in Bulgaria where I live Jesus Christ is called Исус Христос but so its easier to read its pronounced Isus Hristos and thats it! Thanks for the info and the vet told me to carry her after 45 days so he can see her again when she is older, and thanks again for the information,I was scared for a second but i saw your reply and now im calm!

First...that is one cuuuuuteeeee kitten! Congratulations!

1. It wouldn't hurt to clip kitten's bottom fur (use hair clippers, DO NOT USE scissors or razor), especially if she has messy potty habits.
I clip my long haired cat's bottom fur because I don't like finding surprise dingleberries, lol!

2. Please deworm your kitty. Kittens are susceptible to many types of internal parasites. You can buy good dewormers at pet stores, the vet, or online. I use Bayer Expert Care tapeworm dewormer for cats and kittens on my foster cats, if they show signs of tapeworm infestation (little white things that look like moving grains of rice on poop or on their anal area). If I see signs of roundworms (bloated, pot bellies, long, thin worms in poop, lethargy, eating a lot), I usually just get a dewormer from my vet for the roundworms, but have had mixed success with Sentry Worm Away.

3. If you are not sure whether you saw a worm, contact your vet and asked if they treated your kitten for worms. If not, ask for her to be treated or treat her yourself, with a cat appropriate deworming medicine (the two above are safe for cats....follow package directions).
If your vet treated for worms, you are likely seeing the dead ones being shed in her poop. And, because she is long-haired, her poop and dead worms are sticking to her fur.

4. It is also possible that what you pulled out was not a worm, but a piece of string. String is NOT a toy for cats. It can cause life threatening issues, like intestinal obstructions, intussuception, and intestinal cuts/strangulation.
Much like with human babies, you will need to kitten-proof your house. No toys that can be easily swallowed, no strings, no access to dangerous areas, etc.

5. Get your kitten a nice, kitten safe litter (clay litter is great for older kittens who are no longer exploring the world with their mouths, not so good for itty "taste-the-world" kittens), instead of sand. A good litter for kittens is Arm and Hammer Essentials Natural clumping litter. Inexpensive, great with odors, corn and baking soda based.

I hope I have helped you some!

The sand sticks to the legs on the back of them, but recently she has diarreah.

Also im not that stupid to give my cat string to play with,i know how dangerous it can be.
