I do not know how to proceed for me to help my cat. I have a mature adult cat, 8 years old. She is overweight, 16 lbs.

She recently had a tooth, upper incisor 'fang', professionally removed by a vet, where since a lymph node below her jaw has significantly swollen, and remains large, that suggests infection. Without warning and occasionally she will stand and urinate wherever she was resting about no times to three times in a week.

I have taken my cat to a couple of vets [expensive] and feel like I am not getting good help.

I purchased and used a Kit4Cat Checkup home test kit. These were the home test kit results for my cat.

a- diabetes test, glucose result negative

b- kidney failure test, protein result 0.3 g/L

c- urinary tract infection test, pH result 6

d- blood in urine test, blood result 25 cells/uL

Can you please help me understand these, generally what they should mean, and make a suggestion for me to help my cat?

1- change diet to, and buy, UTI wet food

2- buy antibiotic (and what kind of) over the Internet

3- buy other kind of medicinal treatment(s) over the Internet

4- other suggestion

Please help me, and truly thanks,

Hi, and welcome to TCS :wavey:

No advice you will find here is a substitute for veterinary care. Indeed, it is part of the forum rules that we do not give out veterinary advice here:-
Cat Care Policies, Guidelines and Stances

1. If you suspect that your cat may be ill, please contact your vet immediately. No online advice can replace direct veterinary intervention. You are welcome to look for advice in the health forum while waiting for that appointment, but never delay proper veterinary care waiting for Internet advice.

2. Do not provide medical advice. Discussing various options is encouraged and you may share your experience including details about what kind of medication was administered and dosage. However, do not suggest to another member that they should change anything in the course of treatment prescribed by their vet without first consulting with a qualified veterinarian.
Your cat is clearly sick and in need of proper veterinary care. Trying to treat her on your own could easily do more harm than good. If you're not happy with the vets you've seen, seek out a third opinion. I have to ask, though, what is it about the vets youve seen so far that you're unhappy about? Maybe you need to give one of them a chance to help further :dk: There aren't always quick fixes or easy ways to handle things, and it sounds like your girl has several health issues right now. Multiple diagnoses always makes treatment harder and more complicated.
