Hello. I have two three months old kittens. They're eating well, playful and cuddly. But I've noticed that when they're relaxed or half asleep they make this throbbing noise from their throat and it feels like their chest and back are also rumbling. It's loud and constant. It goes away after a few minutes and sometimes in seconds but it's been happening for a month now so I'm worried. Their meow is odd too. One won't meow and the other one makes strange noises when she's picked or even getting down the bed, table or any higher ground. I've also noticed they seemed to gain weight. They're still active though. Any help would be appreciated :)

It's called purring
All cats purr, some more loudly than others. It's a sign of contentment. Cats have different "voices"  and make different sounds when meowing. Some do the typical meow while others trill and chirp and make other noises. Some cats just don't meow or talk at all and that's ok. It's just their personality and doesn't mean that they are unhappy. Every cat has their own unique meow and way of "talking".

Kittens need to grain weight in order to grow.  3 month old kittens are still rapidly growing and will do so until they are about a year old. Kittens should be fed as much as they will eat daily. They need all that food to grow.

You seem to be a complete newbie to cats. There are lots of TCS articles on how to care for cats and kittens:

Have the kittens been to the vet for initial vaccinations and an exam? A vet is a good person to ask about how to care for your kittens properly.

ohh! Guess I was worried for no reason. And yes I'm a newbie to cats or pets in general. I'll check the threads. One thing I'd like to ask tho..Is bald spot normal? Because this one kitten has a bald spot on her chest area. Sometimes she licks it a lot. The spot is somewhat round-ish. And they're always indoor so I haven't gotten them vaccinated yet. I'm planning on getting them vaccinated this week. Thank you!

Make sure you make plans to have them neutered or spayed soon too, it makes them much more nicer pets, more relaxed and friendlier. It prevents the females from almost constantly going into season and the constant meowing and noise that brings on, not to mention so many kittens you will be drowning in them in a year. Mine had 17 in one year before I finally caught her and had her spayed! The males will also start spraying and fighting, it is not a good life. Welcome to the Cat Site, any questions at all we will try to help you with, there are many here who have a lot of experience. They will bring you many years of love and enjoyment!

The bald spot doesn't sound normal. Can you post a photo?

And they need to be vaccinated and fixed asap, even if they are inside only. You bring in all sorts of contamination on your shoes and your clothes that could make them sick. They need to be protected.

yes and they're vaccinated. But I forgot to ask the vet about the spot..I will take them again on this weekend. Any idea what it could be?
They need multiple rounds of vaccinations. When do you plan to spay and neuter?

Please do show the vet the spot.
