My brother and SIL brought me a super pregnant cat about two weeks ago that they found out in the cold. I've read that if you feel and see kittens moving it can be at least two weeks until she's had the babies. I've been feeling/seeing them move since the night I got her. I set her up a box with blankets and towels in the back rooms closet, a kitty play pen with blankets and another little cat house. Gave her plenty of options. She has also been full of milk since I got her. I can still feel the kittens moving but they seem to be closer to her hips now. But only signs she's shown of having them was she was meowing at me and loving on me all night last and she's not a loving cat. Lol And NEVER meows. And I woke up this morning to her in her box and all her other areas I set up looked like she had been trying to move all the blankets out of the way.

I have never had a pregnant cat before so this is all new to me. Vets say any time. But she's just not having them. I thought for sure she would have had them by now.

It sounds like she's getting very close! Thank you for taking her in.

You might want to set up some supplies now. You'll want a small scale to weigh the kittens daily, some kmr (powdered by PetAg is best), and a needleless syringe in case you need to supplement. A heating source is also helpful.

I've got a heating pad and all of the above ready to go. I've been researching big time.
Some nights she will act like she's ready to have them but then doesn't. Lol this cat momma is going insane. Right now all she's really doing is laying around.
I have noticed today her nipples are so pink they almost look purple if that makes sense...? And she just keeps meowing at me. And if I try to leave her room she actually gets upset with me and hisses.
She's usually not vocal at all and doesn't like for anyone to pet her stomach or her in general. But all she's wanted from me is love these last two days. We are pretty sure she was abused before I took her in. Can't stand feet and usually tries to attack them when they are near her but she's actually been rubbing on them. She almost acts like a cat in heat. Is that normal before labor?

It sounds like she is very hormonal and very close to going into labor. She's acting normally for a cat at the end of her pregnancy who wants you there to comfort her. Be patient and keep us posted! [emoji]128571[/emoji]

I want to say that is very kind of you to take her in and not only care for her but her babies and keep them warm when they are born. Also just wanted to add that if you do get kmr (which you should no you DO) Never do get Hartz they say it has bad things in it and could make kittens sick. Thank you you are doing great[emoji]128516[/emoji]

Thank you. I love animals too much. I rescued my older dog in September from a very bad home. I'm kinda known to bring home strays and help them. Lol when she came to me she was skin and bones except for the pregnant belly. Was missing all kinds of fur on her tail. Very dull fur and had a couple HUGE ticks. Now in just two weeks she has put on weight all over. She's shiny and fluffing up. And I have taken care of the tick problem.
I can't think of the brand of kitten formula I have BC I'm not home but it's definitely not hartz. I have heard too many bad things about that brand.

It is normal for her to not look as big as she did a few days ago right? I still feel them moving down low by her hips but not as much. I haven't noticed any kind of discharge really but she seems to be having tiny drops of yellow diarrhea that comes out of her bum. Vet didn't seem concerned with it but her bum is just so raw looking and I feel bad for her. Thought about putting coconut oil or something like that on her to help. I swear it's like she doesn't know she's accidentally pooping little drops on herself.

Good your brand is fine and I would like to ask you what do you feed her that could be why if not maybe check her water or watch her to see if she is eating anything unusual if not do a vet request as a last resort. Also yes it is normal for her not to be as big this means she is close to labor we call it dropping so that is what it is! Thank you great work so far and I love animals as well I always take in strays and take care of them. Also when they are near the hips it does mean that she is close to labor!!!![emoji]128571[/emoji]

My husband thinks I'm weird that I sleep with a baby monitor by me so I can hear her at night. Lol

I feed her kitten chow. She will not touch wet food at all. I keep a fresh clean bowl of food and water in her back room at all times. I actually wash the bowls every morning and everything. Can't stand how dirty looking it gets over night.

That's great by the way that is to funny because I actually set up my cat to have a nest because she is a pregnant little kitty as well! I would do that though in case she is in need of help from you or needs medical attention

Ok good that means just watch and see for a week or a few days and if doesn't get better then take her to the vet I was not trying to offend you about the food and water thing I was just looking out for you so that you and your kitty were happy

Oh no. You didn't at all. :) I'm just trying my best to make sure momma cat and babies are nice and healthy. She was so far pregnant when she was brought to me that I was scared the babies wouldn't be born too healthy. So I've gotten extra weird about everything being dirty. I clean the litter box just as much as the bowls BC I read she could have them in it. Lol

Omg that is so funny because that is crazy now ok gonna be a weirdo about cleaning everything because my cat was a stray then was taken from me when I was taking care of her then this girl (hate her very rude and abusive towards animals) she took her and then kept her captive in this tiny room with the tiniest litter box in a dirty room. I was so upset so finally I got her and she is more healthy then ever and the babies are great thank you for talking to me atleast I can trust this website and you guys because you people are so kind and get it especially you!!!!

I have no idea. The vet told me any time now. When I got her two weeks ago she already had milk in and I could see and feel them moving. She was already pretty pregnant the night my brother brought her to me.

This was her a few nights ago. So I def thought she was going to have them. And left her alone and kept the monitor near me so I could hear. But she never did. I do know the kittens are OK and still moving a little. One feels huge! He's the main one I feel but pretty sure I feel at least two more. Vet said there is possibly four in there.

I always think that cats are about to have hem then they don't at all and I am like what the heck! But yeah that's cool my cat tricks me by the door she will hide then go to her box and "sleep" lol
