Has anyone tried this?  It's made of prairie grasses, which I like for its sustainability, and it's supposed to be good for indoor cats who are not able to go outside.  It's also more affordable than most of the other premium litters.  I've read several reviews, and most people liked it, but a few said it does not clump well.  That's a big deal for me, as I have multiple cats.

First I've heard of it  Did a bit of online research, I am inclined to try it.  I have 7 cats.

If clumping is the ONLY issue, I just mix it with some other litter which does clump well.  Good option with any premium litter.

I did see one interesting comment on the PetCo website:

"Cannot recommend one way or the other; default = no. No ingredients list given; No clue if this is a clay litter, or all plant-based recyclable litter. It makes a big difference: I can turn used plant-based litters under into my garden to compost. But clay letters must be put in trash, adding to landfill."

It's a clumping clay litter, with some "outdoorsy" stuff added to make outdoor cats feel more like using the litterbox---it's not made of prairie grasses; they're just added to attract the cats. It's a variation of the Cat Attract litter, made to be more appealing to outdoor kitties who have to be inside for awhile. Most clumping litters don't clump as well when stuff is added.

FYI, had 4 cats in to the vet this morning (normal visit for 3 year Purevax rabies update).

She said the Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal is the best litter she has found, for low dust, odor control.  Also fyi she mentioned it is black.  And it is expensive.

Found Chewy.com has it on sale.  43 cents / pound   But I have dust EVERYWHERE with Tidy and Cats.  Now that Tommy has asthma, I need a lower dust solution.  So I thought I'd try it and see how it goes.

And at Chewy, if you spend $49 or more, shipping is free.

If I try this litter, it will be from Chewy, as I buy from them whenever possible.  However, it costs more than twice as much as what I have been using.  Not a problem if it lasts longer in the box, so I may give it a go, along with a couple of other brands I have noticed.  I'm not really dissatisfied with what I am currently using, but always open to a better product, particularly if it lasts longer, so I don't have to buy as much.  I have six cats, and storing, as well as disposing of, large amounts of litter can become an issue.

I can't go edit, but the litter is not black, the BOX is black.  LOL

Well I did order some from Chewy, will see how it goes.

JazzyP, I NEVER throw out litter!  I have 7 cats and 9 boxes.  Every 2 weeks, half (well 4 one time, 5 the next) get cleaned.  Put the remaining litter in a bucket, clean the box, put in clean litter and return the litter from the bucket on top.  If you have a box which is not being cleaned that time but is low, put the used litter in that rather than in the bucket.

I don't know that Clump and Seal will last longer.  And I may decide to mix it in with some other litter (just got my Amazon shipment of Dr. Elsey's Ultra Premium).  Anything to cut down on the DUST!

That is a very good idea, I will try it!  Thank you.
