My cat is possibly pregnant (after still born kittens last year) she's been out all week (we live on a farm so she's outdoors most the time) she's come home last night and on her right side is a fairly hard lump and she has the same "saddlebag" type stomach as before. She was just sat on tiled floor and when she's moved she's left wet patches. If she is pregnant I have no idea how far gone she is. She looks fairly large (more on the right side where the harder lump is) should I be worried about this wet patch? She hadn't just used the litter tray so thinking it couldn't be a damp patch from urine.

I can't really help too much but I can say that if she is large enough that you can see the pregnancy, you can feel the babies. If it has been a week, she isn't going to suddenly get so very big in one week and it would usually be an all over tummy roundness. Maybe she needs to be seen because is it possible she was bit or hurt? If it was urine, you would be able to smell it and tell right off the bat as well.

If you find out what it is, can you make sure to post it so others with this problem can have some sort of idea for themselves as well? I really hope you find out what it is, that sounds a bit scary :(

Thankyou! She does seem pregnant (same saddle bag type belly as before) it's just the one side is a little larger and harder. she was rather "rounded" before she went out, and now she seems larger. I rang the vets and can't get in until Friday. I'll post a photo!

I thought you were going to keep her inside until she was spayed?

OH! I see what you are saying... sorry about that -__-  When she goes into labor, there will be a small water that comes out. It happened with our mommy cat but she was in labor quickly after that. I hope its something small or maybe even nothing so there isn't much to worry about <3

We did keep her in then we have decided not to get her spayed as we are going to keep the kittens for our farm.
It's ok! Lol. It was just a couple of little spots of wet. Nothing big. She's all curled up in a box at the minute. Won't let me touch her abdomen but her nipples don't feel very large (from what I remember last time) of youblook at my thread from last year, there is a picture on it 2 weeks from when she gave birth before and her belly looks more or less identical apart from this time the right side is s larger.
Can kittens "favour" a side?

Not sure why you are putting your cat through this. Stillborn kittens last year, now she's pregnant again. Cats deserve better than this.

Yes, cats can carry more on one side than the other.

Do you plan to spay after this litter? And fix the kittens? Otherwise you will have parent / kitten mating season and siblings mating.

Do you have mom inside now?

Yeah they will all be done and our Tom was done 2 weeks ago.
Mum is inside now she's curled up in a box that she favours with some towels and a blanket, she seems absolutely fine.
I'm really tempted to call an out of hours vet as I'm (over-reacting) about the spots of wet she had earlier, I've felt round her blanket and towels and can't feel anything but she does look damp around by her tail/vaginal opening. But I don't know if that just from the spot she had not long ago/mucus plug? If she lets me would it be worth wiping her with a tissue so I can check if it's damp or mucus?

I'm not sure about the damp spot but she definitely looks a little high up... I'm not sure the word for it so I used the "human term" I have used before :D lol Before they go into labor, they look a little skinnier (from them setting into the canal) and they are closer to where the hips are. But, you never know ;)

Just make sure if you wipe her that what you use is completely clean of colors and dyes. Even baby wipes are too harsh for their skin. I was told that because when our Mommy came in, she was a stray and VERY pregnant and her "back there" was dirty lol

I used just plain white tissue (no chemicals) she was completely dry! So I think I'm way over reacting!
I get you with the 'carrying high'! She never really 'dropped last time until when in active labour, but her kittens were quite large, so I don't know if that plays a role!

Her belly doesn't seem as outward as yesterday, could this be a sign of anything?

Yes, its prob the renown "dropping".   the kittens have gone down into the birthing positions.  Its nearing!   :)

Exciting! She keeps going to hide upstairs she's also had a couple of "ripples" her back and sides has moved in a wave downwards, could that have moved the kittens or is it the start of contractions possibly?! She had two very quickly then hasn't had anymore that I've noticed!

Or could the rippling I saw be kitten movement?

I think its beginning of the contractions.   When kittens are in the dropping position, they move less than earlier - not so much place in there.

That makes sense! Thankyou! The only thing I'm concerned about is her nipples done appear as visible as I though they would, and they don't seem to be as pink, and they look very white on the tips, although no milk coming through

She will get milk in time. The ripples may be pre-labor. If they are stage one labor, it can take up to 24 hours, so stay calm and patient! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
