Hello! I'm just a tad concerned and need some reassurance. My cat is in the process of having her second litter of kittens. She gave birth to the first one around 6:30am, and I rubbed her belly and could feel another moving kitten. What my concern is, is that the placenta/afterbirth is still inside of her and the umbilical cord is still attached to kitten and placenta. It is now 8:00am. Will she push the placenta out once the second kitten comes along?? Last time when she was in labor with her first litter she had 2 kittens about 2-4 hours apart, around 4pm, and her 3rd kitten the next day about 8am, so I know it could be a while before she could have another one. She is nursing and licking herself frequently and is purring. I would greatly appreciate if someone messages me back, thank you!
