Welcome to the Cat Site!

That's a nasty abrasion. It looks like her fur got ripped off and took some skin with it. The yellow color may indicate some infection. Just to play it safe, you should take her to the vet.

She is indoor only and there are some red spots within that abrasion. And some of the fur near it feels hard. Almost like there is hair gel on her fur.

not sure, a vet visit is a good idea since it's a mystery. It's been awhile since I've seen ringworm and it may be that.

Very difficult to differentiate between bacterial infection, yeast infection, allergic dermatitis etc. based on a photo only. Maybe some vets can do it.

It looks to me as being definitely something to be solved out by a professional (vet visit).

Myself I always assume the worst. Better safe than sorry. But this is me.

Hello everyone! I wanted to give yall an update on my furbaby, Honey. So doc checked her over and said it looks like she injured herself possibly jumping. He gave her an antibiotic shot and told us to keep the cone on her until the wound is completely healed. Of course, she isn't thrilled about the cone but I'd rather keep it on her and get her healed faster. :)
Thank you everyone for helping and for caring! :)
