K she just came out of her kennel nest, where she had been quietly contently laying/resting/cleaning..she came out doing her certain "cry" that's she's done now since pre labour first started. She's doing laps around me and kind of panicking. Then walks away and calms down for a minute then comes back to make sure I'm still right here.

She's probably in early labor. She may cry when she has s pain. Continue to comfort her. You may be in for a long night.

I ended up getting some kmr powder from someone online, they had lots leftover and gave it to me for free. However, I've been reading about the problems with PetAg KMR in recent years and how it's affected cats and kittens and am concerned it may be making Bella sick. So does this kmr look okay/normal?

Do you know if it's been refrigerated since it was opened?

What is the expiration date on the can? PetAg is an excellent product. I always recommend it, and store mine in the freezer as well.

Okay, I confirmed that she was keeping it in the fridge, she got it in September. The expiration yes July 2017, so I think she's okay

She may be looking for a place to give birth that is NOT going to be the nest for the kittens.  We had a few nests for ours that she'd spend time in napping and cleaning, etc.  Then one day she started pacing a lot, opening cupboards and going in and out of them.  I thought Oh, no.  I don't want her giving birth in my pots and pans.  So we emptied out the cupboard she kept going in, lined the bottom with plastic, and put a box with old rags in the bottom.  Then we emptied the litter box, scrubbed it,  and put completely fresh litter in it.  She instantly laid down in the clean litter. I had heard that cats would do that when feeling worried or unsure.   We went out to breakfast and came back home a couple of hours later.  She met me at the door, pawed at my leg, and made a bee line for the litter box, where she laid down again.  I sat next to her and pet her head, talking softly to her.  After a few minutes she started panting and soon the first kitten came.  I feel awful for not realizing what was happening.  But I think she waited until we were home to start having her babies.

It took around 5 hours to have 6 kittens.  After she cleaned them and they'd eaten once, she slept for about an hour then ate a little.   Then she began moving them into the box in the cupboard.   Where she kept them for the first week before moving them to one of the other nests.

The vet told me that wild cats (she had been a stray when she adopted me, already pregnant) will sometimes give birth away from the safe place so the birthing scents don't attract predators.  She said it's instinct for them.

Maybe try a second litter box for her and see how she reacts to that?  Just a thought.

This is a really great idea, I'm going to set another one up tonight or in the morning. Her nipples have started leaking clear fluid when gently squeezed. She's going in and out of her crate nest a lot and cleaning herself a lot. She really wants my attention and doesn't want me to leave the room.

Cats purr sometimes to comfort themselves. She's frightened, especially with the sad meow. The green stuff is probably the mucus plug in the uterus. She will deliver soon. Stay with her as long as you can.

It was just a little bit, she cleaned it up, I was going to wipe it but she did it. Not sure if there's more anywhere. Maybe in the litter box? She doesn't seem to be having contractions right now. My boyfriend just came in the room and she b-lined it out the door right to the bathroom sink cupboard. However, that is Buttons spot and I can't have her just roaming the house, she has to stay in here. Should she be dilating?

If the mucus plug came out, she's dilating. There's not much to the mucus plug, so that may be all of it. I never saw it at all on my mom cat, and she had seven litters of kittens before I had her spayed. Your cat is looking for a favorite spot, so maybe it would be better to follow her. Someone else on a different thread had a queen who had her kittens in the litter box, which is quite far-fetched. Let her have them in the cupboard if she wants.

My other cat lives in that spot. That's the problem, and I still am having to keep them apart, he stresses her out completely. I'm not sure if she lost her whole mucus plug or not.

It sounds like it's close.  If I got up to go to the bathroom or get something to eat, mine would stop everything, even cleaning the babies already born, and just pant until I came back and sat beside her.  That was a long 5 hours sitting on the floor.  lol  But much longer for her, I'm sure.  She just needs your comfort and assurance that everything is ok.
