She's beautiful! It also sounds like she is getting closer to going into labor. It's good she is resting! [emoji]128571[/emoji]

My cat has just found a really awkward place to nest. She's just gone under my kitchen cubboards and is scratching around obviously making a nest.
Do you think she's likely to stay put under there now to give birth or will she come back out again? Thankyou for any help

If she isn't safe there and if you aren't able to monitor her and the kittens there, you'll need to move her and block the space off.

Thankyou. She came out on her own and I've make a nest in my closet which she did go in but she's back out again and laying on my bed. I don't think she's in labour!

She's having kittens!!!!
Got woken up to squeaking under my bed and there were two kittens [emoji]10084[/emoji] she then had one right after and another just now, she's so brave. Didn't make a sound and is just purring her way through it. They all seem healthy and well so far. Anything I need to look out for? Any advice would be great thankyou

* Count the placentas watch that she expels all of them.

I remove them after one or two it's up to you or let her dispose of them...good to keep a water

bottle filled with warm water cover in towel in box or laundry basket if you need to remove kittens

temporary if she has 4-5 they can get in the way for mom. I keep a pair of sanitized

scissors near by just incase cord issues any emergencies crop up.

Congrats
on your babies!!!  Any mom cat or kitten issues  don't fret ask any questions you've

got good support on this thread already

Glad someone is online. She had her fourth kitten 45mins ago and the placenta is in the birth canal but hasn't come out yet. Kitten is still attached. Is this too long??

Yes I'd get some scissors let sit in boiled water for a min or two,

or however you wish to sterilize...mom should be calm look where to snip common sense

of where to snip very carefully make sure kitten is always warm the placenta will come out on it's own

encourage babies to suckle from mom...

She still hasn't delivered the placenta. It's been one hour 15 minutes. She's straining every now and again

Thankyou. I'm in such a panic. Although she seems to be doing a good job herself.
Right god knows what's going on now, I thought she delivered the placenta because she was licking and sounded like she was eating eat. But I checked and baby number 4's cord is still inside her. Then she pushes again and baby number 5 pops out [emoji]128563[/emoji] When I looked they were both still attached inside her. She's doing a lot of licking now I'm in hoping she's done their cords. But does this still mean number 4's placenta is still inside?????
I'm not sure it is because it was half out then when I checked after her licking there was nothing sticking out but like I say cord was still attached??

When some are born they are dangling hanging from the rear she may

lick and lick sitting trying to remove detach with placenta still inside

she could harm kitten if it goes on for on..so snipping the cord to placenta is fast,

they normally recommend tying off with dental floss, I've yet to experience

any great blood loss never had problems, this way kitten is detached swiftly

from mom. Placentas will come out nature will take it's course she will deliver

them.

It sounds as though she has 2 kittens dangling from what you are describing?

Yes very carefully snip them so they are free from being attached then offer to

mom to nurse clean up. Placentas will follow.  Don't panic a tiny amount of blood

when you snip. Just make sure it's not a kitten limb etc they're so tiny wiggly :)

*trim as far as you can away from kitten leaving as much cord as you can connected to kitten,

it falls off in a few days...

It's only natural to be nervous don't worry :)

Right. I cut number 4's. Then had to go take my children downstairs and I came back and number 6 was born. So now number 5 and 6 are still connected. She's in such an awkward position under my bed so I can't tell if placentas have been born yet

It would be tight for two kittens, can't pull the nest out? I find under a desk

removing chair works good, or corner of bed with blankets draped so you can

monitor easily like a tent... best to place her somewhere handy for you, if she

trusts you then less to worry about, she maybe done now or getting close ;)
