Haven't been here for a while and even had some trouble logging in, til I finally found my old password

Anyway, to catch up:

Last June I had open heart surgery - quadruple bypass. I may have posted about this, but not really sure.

To make a long story shorter, it's been 7 months and I am doing fine. Went thru 36 sessions of cardiac rehab which was an absolutely amazing program. The worst is over - surgery and recovery was an absolute nightmare, but I'm here to talk about it.

Still here in Naples, Fl with our 3 kitties - Angel and Tippy are getting older and I have nightmares about losing them someday. Charlie (aka Hurricane Charlie) is 13 mos old -- he is our russian blue and is a delight. He and the 2 girls do not get along at all - Angel despises him, Tippy sort of tolerates him, so it's an ongoing battle.

Anyway, will cut this post short, but glad I was able to find my password and get back on. I had some computer work done recently and this may have compromised the TCS account.

Pls write and let me know how everyone is. Miss all of yu.

Welcome back!
I remember you!  I'm so glad to hear that the surgery and rehab are behind you and that you're back to enjoying life again.  I'm sure that Angel, Tippy and Charlie are glad, too.  They must have been so worried.

What a shame that Charlie is not more popular with the ladies.  Poor boy.

Hope you keep on posting.

Welcome back, Lana! We missed you, too. I often thought about you, and wondered if you were o.k. What an ordeal you had!

Nothing exciting going on with me, except that we found the dearest little tuxedo boy kitten last October, and Smedley is so much fun. He's a cutie!

Hi, I remember you. Welcome back. I'm sorry about your surgery but happy you are alive.
Hopefully Angel and Tippy will learn to love Charlie.

Hi Lana, I also was wondering where you went. Yes, you did post about your surgery, & am glad to hear you are still doing well.
As for my update, as you probably remember, I lost Angel last February 5th after trying to beat lymphoma with 2 months of chemo. So tomorrow, Sunday the 5th will be the first yr anniversary of him being gone. It just doesn't seem like it's been that long.
On a good note, I was adopted again back on labor day wknd.
I had no intention in adopting for a long time, but I guess God & this little girl had other plans for me! She never let me get a good enough look, so thought she was a boy at first, & named her Samuel. Sammy for short. Well when I took her to the vets for shots & exam & test, found out it's a girl, so kept Sammy, since she was already getting to know her name, but now I guess it's short for Samantha! She's a little velvety black beautey!

Thank you for your post. I am so sorry to hear of your health problems but am glad that you are doing well. I guess we all have things to be thankful for. Yes, I do remember when you lost your Angel. It is so hard to live with them for so long and then have to say goodbye. Our Angel is around 14 now (not exactly sure since she was a stray.) She has had a few health issues and is very thin, but her appetite is good and her blood work was ok last check. Just a slight infection. She and Charlie are bitter enemies; she will never like him and he delights in tormenting her. It's an ongoing battle. Tippy - also a stray - is around 12 or so (again, not sure). I'm taking her to the vet Mon since she's been having some issues - she always vomits a lot, but now she is starting to have some littler box issues (pooping on the couch). She did have a small lump on her belly which the vet said he thought was a fatty growth, but I want to have her checked again.

So glad that you got "adopted". yes, that's exactly what happens - they pick us. Send a picture! It's a true tribute to your love for your Angel and a lasting memory.

Pls write and let me know how you are doing. It's so good to hear from you again. Take care of yourself.
