Hi y'all! From Tucson

Hello fellow Cat Lovers,

I am so happy to have found this site!  I'm in my 50s and have owned kitties my entire life.  Currently I am at the end of a two-year cat-free period that seems to have lasted forever.  My 17- and 18-year-old babies had to be put down secondary to chronic renal failure (CRF), and I decided to take a break.  Now I can't even look at cat videos without crying, so I guess I'm ready to be a mom again. 

Right now I am researching different breeds, trying to make a decision.  That's what brought me here.  This site is a goldmine of info!  I look forward to exploring it further and learning as much as I can.

I look forward to interacting with you nice folks.  After I adopt a new child, I will post a photo of her (probably a her).

Oh, I'm so sorry about your babies, that's the toughest decision in the world to have to make. I had to put my first kitty to sleep at almost 18 years old and it was so hard, I thought I'd take a break, too. Three weeks later, I had two new kittens in the house. :lol3:
