I've seen many types of parasites in animals, but nothing quite like this. It fell off my Trudy's behind. It looked like a very small slug, was mobile, and left the white droppings behind. I have been ill myself and have had a bad rash for awhile. Vet appointment in 2 days, but I'm anxious to find out what's going on! HELP!

Really? No one knows what type of parasite this might be? I find that absolutely terrifying.

I can't figure what kind of thing excretes a white trail like that :dk:. Google isn't helping. I was thinking maybe a tapeworm segment but I can't find any indication they leave a white trail. Does she go outside? It might just be a slug from the yard.

If you can bag it up and take it to a vet or extension agent, they might be able to ID it.

The picture definitely looks strange. But the way your describing it sounds like tapeworm for sure. The fact that it came out and was mobile is a sure sign of tapeworm. Tapeworms release segments of themselves that work their way out of anus and into the environment. They comes out moving around and looking for a new host. If they don't get picked up by a new host then they will dry up and immobilize. Also when they are still wet and mobile they can actually be squished and will seem like a paste. If it dries up into a consistency like dry rice that's another sign of tapeworm.
