Hello, i have a cat and i believe her to be about 4-5 weeks pregnant. Showing some obvious signs, but she'll get these moments where she's twitching and licking her back and tummy really fast... could that possible mean she feels something? Not movement of the kittens because i know that doesn't happen until about 2 weeks before birth. This is my first litter of kittens ON MY OWN. Any advice is welcomed! :)

I suppose its some form of precontractions.   A little early for them, but I suppose such may happen anyway earlier too.    About one or two weeks before delivery they are common - the similiar mechanism as with humans - with humans they have even a fancy name.

That's something along the lines of what I was thinking. I can't really be sure how far along she is. 4-5 weeks was just my guesstimate.

Sorry for all the questions, but is there a way I can tell how far along she is? Her changes in behavior are :

She's sleeping a lotttt more.

Eating a lot more also.

Way more affectionate.

Nipples are poking but not filling yet.

As posted above, she gets twitching spells, her back will twitch and she'll lick her stomach and back really fast.

If there's anything more I can do to make her comfortable, I'm welcome to suggestions.

We have an extra room her cat post, food, and litter box stays in. So I'm hoping she'll find comfort in there to give birth. And from my understanding I can't choose where she has her babies, she will find a place where she's safe, warm and comfortable.

This is her first litter, and mine also. (Aside from me being a child and my mothers cats having kittens) so I'm extremely nervous.
