Hi our cat just got speyed and she has been home for a week. We have caught her licking her stitches sometimes so we got her a cone, but to us the area where she got speyed seems redder than before. She is an active cat and runs around, and also doesn't seem to be in any pain. Is this normal or should we be worried?

The first 2 pics look good. I can't really see the last 2 pics clearly enough to see what's going on.  If she's small enough, you can use the elastic top of a tube sock  and work it over her back legs and place it over the incision.  Just cut off the foot portion of the sock.  You could also try a paper plate cone.

The first 2 pictures look fine. It looks like her incision is longer than normal. can you take some photos is the lower part of the incision? Is that where your concern is?

All cats who get speyed will naturally lick it afterwards. It's the cat way to tell it hurts and was nasty. It looks normal. And it will pass. Once it licks the area then start playing with your cat or give it a treat. It will decrease licking towards the wound and make your cat recover faster.
