Freeze dried minnows, bad for ckd cat ?

I found these at Petsmart & decided to give them a try.


Only Natural Pet Wild Minnows Cat.

My Maggie with chronic kidney disease loves them. But I'd always read that fish was not good for ckd....
Any thoughts ?

I can't find much info on them except the basics.  What's the salt content..can you tell on the back of the bag? 

A fish ONLY diet isn't good for cats, per this articlehttp://www.felinecrf.org/which_foods.htm#fish  (all the way at the bottom of the page), but you're simply talking about treats, correct?

But, then again, with our last kidney cat, towards the end, her favorite food was Iams Purrfect Delights TunaTopia, which was her diet for several months before she died.  All fish   But it's the only thing she would eat, so that's what she got.  As her Vet said,  better that than nothing.  So...we do what we can and that's all we can do

She has a good quality dry and wet food in the evening.

Yes she is a cutie thank you! Tried to find the most recent photo of her. She was quite well padded except for her last two years. We've been doing sq fluids for a yr and a half. She eats well, drinks well..
She is coming up on 18...

Just found this post I made about freeze dried minnows and Maggie's CKD.... She might make her 20th birthday this spring.
Skinnier, a bit wobbly but she still has a good appetite ! Haven't given her any of the minnows this time yet.
