The lump may be an abscess that needs antibiotics to clear. It's probably infected and is sore. I suggest you get it looked at by the vet. Take the baby with you, and let us know what the vet says.

Kittens wean to soft food better at 4-5 weeks, so try again in a week. Moms begin "disciplning" their kittens around this age as they leave the nest. It teaches them how to play and interact without hurting, so unless she gets too rough it's normal. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Angel is now 5 weeks old and going the loo all ok she will still not eat cat food but she will eat baby food so feeding her that till she gets used to eating the kitten food she is also having a bottle with whiskas cat milk and she is still feeding from her mommy. Poppy has had mastitis but being such a good mommy she was still feeding the baby. happy with how it is all going. Just hope angel eats cat food soon.

Did mom get antibiotics for the mastitis?

Whiskas cat milk is not a nutritionally complete food. It is only a treat. You can get kitten milk replacer, like petag, instead.

Yes, please do not give her the Whiskas milk - KMR from a pharmacy or goat milk from the supermarket (you can get it long-life) are both fine and have the nutrients she needs. And as for the baby food - make sure it is salt and onion free. Mix a little kitten food with it and increase the quantity gradually until she is eating only kitten food. They both look very happy!

Hi all just another update. Angel is. Is 8 weeks old. Poppy is fine vet said poppy lump was just milk. She is still trying to have milk from her mom but poppy keeps running off. Angel is only eating cat biscuits and chicken but also giving her formula milk she is having 2 bottles [emoji]127868[/emoji] a day from me but she is putting on weight still. She is very very playful and her and her dad are always playing. She has had more new toys my house looks like a playground for cats upstairs and downstairs.
