Pushkins our tabby cat scratched a flea bite and got it infected.  It affected the fur follicles and his fur dropped out and now this scab/granuloma tissue has grown over it.  It is dry but doesn't look very nice.  It isn't causing him any pain.  He has been on antibiotics and we have been putting fucidin cream on it daily then a stronger steroid cream.  It just doesn't seem to be getting any better and has been like this for aprroximately two months.

We haven't been to a vet but my sister who is a veterinary nurse has been treating him.

I think it is time to take him to a vet.

Nothing on a cat is supposed to look like that. It looks like more than a flea bite that has been scratched. Definitely need to have a vet check it out.
