Shredded textures that are low in carbs?

Now that one of our cats has discovered the joys of eating cat food with real, honest-to-goodness pieces of meat that have been shredded, he refuses to eat anything else.

He mostly eats Weruva and Tiki Cat, but we work in some Fussie Cat and Earthborn Holistic into the mix when he'll let us. ;-)

However, we'd like to provide a greater variety of brands in case something suddenly becomes unavailable for whatever reason, e.g., a product recall, a company going out of business, a product line being discontinued or 'improved' to the point where it no longer meets his standards, etc.

We did consider Against the Grain and Petite Cuisine at one time, but to be honest, I can't remember why we didn't give them a try.

He did enjoy the free samples that we got from Applaws.  But IIRC, those are only intended for supplemental feeding (as is Almo Nature USA), since they just contain meat and water sufficient for processing.

Have we overlooked something that comes in a shredded texture, and is low in carbs?  He hasn't had any flare-ups of his FLUTD since we've been following the dietary recommendations at catinfo.org, and as Martha Stewart might say, "It's a good thing." ;-)

What about Soulistic?  Some flavors are carby, but others are low in carbs (take a look at the Pate & Shreds varieties).   I actually just picked up a few cans of the Chicken Dinner in Gelée and Lamb Dinner in Gelée today.

Wellness Signature Selects is another to consider, but I think they all contain carrageenan.

Awesome!  Moar stuff!  Thanks!

I'll whip out my calculator and start figuring out the carb content. :-)

The funny thing is that I bought a can of Wellness Signature Selects on a whim a couple of years ago, and our cat has been hooked on the shredded textures ever since.  And that's when I learned I had to actually read the darned labels, instead of just going by the name of a particular flavor.  Who would have guessed that Shredded White Meat Chicken with Chicken Liver would contain tuna?  ;-)

I would also consider the Fancy Feast Purely line, but it's pretty expensive for such a small amount of food.
Is that Appetizers under a new name?  If so, I see what y'all mean about it being pretty pricey. :-)

We used to buy the fish-flavored Appetizers for Buddy before he developed FLUTD, and that got a little expensive when he'd polish off two packages in one sitting. ;-)

But maybe just one package of a non-fish flavor could be an option for his bedtime snack.  Thanks!

Yea it is, but the Purely line contains the required nutrients/supplements so you can feed it as a meal rather than a treat/snack.  I think the Chicken and Chicken & Beef ones don't contain fish, but you should double check. :)
