Worming tablets

My partner took our kitten for her flea treatment and the vet gave him a worming tablet to bring home ! Question is how is the best way to give it to her? She has wet food so should I crush it up in the food ? I'm not going to try my luck and pop it in her mouth as the vet did last month ! I want it to work so I assume it still will if you crush it in food ?

If it tastes funny she might not eat all her food and not get the full dose. It would probably be best to pop it in her mouth. If you need help, there are Youtube tutorials on pilling a cat .

I don't crush the tablet, what I do is I shut myself and the cat in a room (the kitchen), and give the cat a small amount of food with the pill hidden inside. I make sure the cat is hungry first, and I use a food they really like so they eat it fast and eat every bite. For mine, it is a tablespoon of tuna. Only a small amount, that way if they eat it all around the pill, you can give them a second try without them getting full. Usually they don't notice a thing. Before I let them out, I check the plate I served it on, to ensure the pill is definitely gone. Only once have I had to try Plan B for pilling a cat, with the towel burrito and putting it in their mouth.

Usually liverwurst works, but try some without the pill first to make sure she likes it. If she eats it, make four or five little balls of liverwurst, stick the pill in the third one, making sure it's completely coated, and put them on a little saucer or toss them to her.

You can also get Pill Pockets, but liverwurst works with more cats.

Cool ! I did end up mixing with her food ! Did notice a bit left so tried crushing again ! Never heard of pill pockets ? I have to be so careful with get and food. Her tummy sensitive ! She can only eat vet diet cat food ! She's sick even on the same brand food but never sick on the veterinary version of the food ! Can only also eat boiled chicken and egg ! Sick on Everything else !
