I'm considering this for my arthritic cat in addition to other therapies, and thought I'd ask if anyone can give this a definite thumbs up? I'm also curious if any of the devices on the market for consumers have been tried, like the Tendlite which has great reviews almost everywhere I check. She's currently on Cosequin and Duralctin, and I just started her on krill oil.

Thanks,

D

I am a human doctor, not a vet, but I can give you a definite thumb's down on using cold laser as far as humans are concerned.  It appears, from the limited research into it that has been performed on humans, that it is just another, more sophisticated, form of snake oil, benefitting only the provider and with no proven benefit to the sufferer.

I also consider that it is most unlikely to benefit your cat, although you would have to consult a vet to confirm what I have written.

Krill oil, again from my extensive experience in humans, is again unlikely to benefit your cat's arthritis.  My advice is to discuss with your vet before commencing any alternative form of treatment by yourself.

With all best wishes,

Geoffrey

Thanks for the reply and advice. I have to say I'm seeing a lot of videos on You Tube where people are showing their animals through the process. Maybe they're all hokey, but it seems to be legitimate from what I'm seeing. I was hoping more folks would chime in, but I'm guessing this has already been hammered to death in related threads.
