Hello, I've been noticing some issues regarding my cat's breathing and throat lately, when she's asleep mostly is when she breathes pretty loud. Not extremely loud but you know how a human would breathe. Then, when she's ready to fall asleep she swallows a lot and you can clearly hear that when she swallows there is a somewhat of a pop sound. She had always had a weird way of swallowing but lately it's come for to my attention since it seems to happen each time shes closing her eyes. There is also another issue that I noticed a few days ago and that is that out of the complete no where my cat will do this very odd hagging noise almost like a haaaggggh noise. When she eats her food she snorts like a pig. Oh and did I mention that she does not meow at all? She doesnt meow like regular cat, she meows with her mouth closed and very silently. And the only time she will make a noise with her mouth closed is when she's hungry and sees food.

Has anybody had these issues with their cats and also is it normal behavior? This has been happening for a few weeks now but I really can't afford the vet at the moment because most vets are asking for way too much money.

Vet ASAP! This this very worrisome and sounds like there may be fluid in her lungs.

Apply for care credit, borrow money, or find a vet that takes payment methods. She must see a vet.

I agree!  Your cat absolutely needs to see the vet right away.  The problem you're describing most definitely sounds life threatening.  Surely you can get her examined by a qualified vet for under $100.00, no matter where you are.  If treatment that you're unable to afford is required you can always surrender your cat.

I can tell how much you love your cat so I know you want to do right by her.  Please find a way to get her checked out.

Forgot to mention, but I have issues with my hair and it falls like crazy. Especially on my bed and that's where the cat is most of the time . There have been my cat has gotten hairs in her mouth but I managed to pull them out except this one time when I guess she ingested my hairs and she had a long hair in her stool.

Not sure if this has anything to do with her throat problems but I was thinking maybe it could injure her throat?
