My kitten is nearly 5 months and she is booked in to be spayed next month ! Am I doing the right thing early on? The vet thinks so ! My partner thoyght she should have At least on litter but there are enough unwanted kittens out there ! I love her to bits and she has kept me sane since losing my baby (I know might sound silly ). I hope she will be okay ! Its more an involved operation for a female cat I believe

There's nothing to worry about at all. Make sure she is not anywhere near unfixed male cats. A cat can become pregnant at 4 months so your cat is more than ready to be fixed. She will feel very nice when it is done since she will no longer be hormonal.

No, she does not need a litter of kittens! Men, what do they know. [emoji]128526[/emoji]

Thank you ! Yes I certainly cannot cope with a litter of kittens ! Knowing my kitten (gracie ) and my partner, they would leave me to done every thing ! They both wake me for breakfast and she wont even use her litter box until ive cleaned it !

Kittens life was lost to a negligent veterinarian.

It is a myth they should have at least one litter of kittens. My 2 five month old kits were spayed yesterday. Today they are up and fine. A bit quiet by they are also being given pain medication. It is scary but also a very safe operation.

She'll be fine. The only potential problem I see with waiting another month is that she might go into heat. If she does, then make sure she doesn't get out of the house at all.
