The kitten with the belly may have a different body type. A plump belly in itself is not an issue. Many kittens have big bellies which thin out as they grow. He also may have a less outgoing, less curious personality which causes him not to move as much. Kittens at 8 days old are not fully mobile yet. He may become more mobile in the coming days. Just because he was born first does not mean he will do everything first. These traits do not necessarily mean he has a problem. I am concerned about his tongue being out.

Can you post a picture of the kitten with his tongue out?
Yes he has a pump belly...when i touch his belly it's like a balloon with water...yesterday i put him far from his mama many time so he has to crawl ...after this he look in shape ... ok i try to upload his pics with toung and downside ..

Ok i don't ....but My cat change her place in the room.and hide her kids on another place.i thinks thats normal ...i heard that cats changes her place 7 times. Am i right ??
I think he does need to see a vet. Being lazy and having the tongue out isn't normal. A five hour age difference is not a reason for this.

You said that you put him far from his mom so he has to crawl. If mom moves them around, that's different. She should have a nest where she feels comfortable and doesn't feel the need to move them so much, though.

I agree. Please do not place him away from his mom. He is only 8 days old, and kittens need to stay warm as they cannot regulate their own body temperature until after 3 weeks. Mom may move the kittens less if you handle them less until they are ready to leave the nest. They need the nest in a quiet, private place for now.

Her changing places - yes it happens, still, it shows she is feeling unsafe. Perhaps you are overdoing your concerns?   Perhaps she does need change of bedding? - the sheets and towels must be changed now and then.  At least twice a week, perhaps more often.   Or perhaps she feel unsecure by any other reason.

Re you set this belly kitten away a little, and let you crawl to momma.  The good with it now we KNOW the kitten is essentially sound and healthy.   He knows where momma is,  he knows he must crawl forwards to her at any cost, he CAN do it, even several times if need be... He has the strengh for it...   Anyways, the experiment is done, and this is proved.   You dont need to do it again.   :)

Or if you do, once or twice is enough.

Don't know why but my mother said that cats changes 7 places with their kittens if they are stry cats the change the houses and if they are pet then they change just rooms or bed ....
Yes thats the thing i want to say ....the active kitten can't find her mother like this kitten he find his mama by his nose and crawl to her fastly ...i don't try it again....
I heard that sticking out the toung is ka symptom of fever is that true ??how can i check he had fever or not ??

It may be true - cats dont sweat, they must get rid of too much heat in other ways- the soles of their paws, or by mouth.   Dogs are renown for using their tongue as a cooler.  Cats less so, but I suppose it is correct, they do so too in some degree.

Re the temp - you can compare with the other kitten.   You can perhaps also see if he avoids warm places, or not.    For example, if you have a warming pad.  Does he want to be on this warming pad (barely on - so low grade warming)  or does he crawls from this warm place?

Is he very close momma, or does he want to be near, but not tightly on?

I presume, being thicker in body, he IS a little warmer by himself, than his thinner brother.

The normal temp of a little kitten isnt easy to tell as it changes.  Small kittens has a somewhat lower temp than adult cats.   Half grown kittens may have a little higher than adult cats (they are also moving much!).

An adult cat has around 101F - about 38,5Celsius.   A little kitten has less,  97F at birth, about 99F after one week.   Should give about 36,5 at birth, about 37  after one week.   So, essentially the same temp as a human.

You are interacting with the kittens too much. Stop experimenting.

SOME touching is OK. For example, its common breeders and rescuers do weigh their kittens every day.  Doing also a quick check up everthing seems OK.

I mean, there is also the old superstition, kittens never shall be touched by the humans, because momma may abandon them.  That is not true.  May be true for wild rabbits, may  occasionally be true for ferale, homeless cats, but its not true for home cats whom like their caretaker.

That said, I agree with TalkingPeanut, it seems you handle them too much, "experimentating" and such.  Good you do care about them, but dont overdo...   :)

I recommend not touching the kittens much at all until they are 3 weeks old and ready to explore. They need to stay in the nest with their mom and nurse and sleep.

How old are you?

You must keep the mother inside with the kittens.
