@Anne, or anyone else with the skills, I think the site has a problem.  I've been receiving notifications of being quoted, having private messages, receiving purraise, and being mentioned just fine.  What I haven't received, since yesterday, are any notifications of new messages in subscribed threads.  I know of one other person who has said she has the same problem, @Mamanyt1953; I strongly suspect that it's everybody.

I was not receiving any notification of new posts, so I went to the subscription page and it was set to "site only."  It happened about a week ago, too.

Sorry to hear about that and thanks for reporting. I checked and your setting seem to be ok, not set to "site only" as @Boris Diamond   suggested, so I don't think that's the problem.

As far as I can see, yesterday the server sent both you and @Mamanyt1953  notifications for new messages in the "Getting too long, AGAIN!!!" thread.

Unlike the messages for purraise and mentions, the ones for thread subscriptions come from the email [email protected]. I wonder if that email may be marked for spam in your email account? Could you please search your inbox by that email address [email protected] and then check the spam folder as well?

No, that isn't it; I'm not finding anything at all from TCS in my spam folder, and notifications of both quotes and PMs come from [email protected], and those have been getting through just fine.

I didn't even notice until @Mamanyt1953 mentioned it to me -- I was largely offline today -- but as soon as I checked I found it.  My last subscription update was My mom has cancer... at 5:12 p.m. mountain time, on January 23.

I wonder whether it could be because I was offline most of the day Tuesday.  I've just changed my subscription preferences from "Send one notification the first time the thread is updated, but no more until the next time I visit the site" to "Send a notification every time there is an update. This can result in receiving multiple notifications for each subscription in-between visits to the site."  I'll let you know whether that takes care of it.  If it does, we can assume it was just a fluke and I'll change my settings back.

I'm having the same issue. I haven't received any notifications today. I was having this issue when I used a Hotmail address but it stopped when I changed to a Gmail one and all was fine until now.

I am having the same issue too. I checked my account details and it is set to "immediate" and I also changed notifications to all of them. I still only get notifications about Purraise or if I am quoted. I've also checked my Spam folder, and notifications are not going there.

Nope, I ALWAYS check my spam folder before deleting it, just for stuff like this.

Thank goodness - I thought it was just me. It's driven me nuts trying to figure out why no notifications received since Monday p.m.

Well, I'm getting everything but the daily notification of threads.  And I just re-checked my settings, and all seems normal.

My settings are for immediate notification, but I have not gotten a thread reply email since yesterday.

I get other notifications, like praise, quotes, etc.

I'm having the same issue, yesterday and now today.  If it makes any different, I do NOT use Gmail.

OH,I'm receiving some notifications to threads I have already posted on, just not receiving my daily email listing of all new and updated threads in subscribed forums

My email address is Yahoo, not gMail.  No new notifications except PMs all day today, despite the change in preferences.

It's strange that nobody from the site has come here to help us with this since Anne posted 17 hours ago.

Looks like we have a problem with one of the email addresses used to send out site notifications. The platform's tech team has been alerted and hopefully will be able to fix this asap. Thanks everyone for your reports! I'll let you know if we have any updates.

Sorry about that. The site is owned and run by myself and it's my responsibility to handle such thing. There's no huge paid team here, just little me
so response times of up to 24 hours are what I can offer. If anyone's looking for a faster response, just @ mention me or one of the moderators (they know how to get me 24/7). A good time as any to thank our community volunteers - the moderators, advisors and mentors - that can sometimes offer faster response times on other matters.

Gosh, now I have 641 emails! Strangely enough I had only a few until I logged in just now. I never had to log in before to receive emails from this site.

Still nothing here, but Yahoo is acting very oddly today.  I can read my emails, but when I reply, each l   e   t    t   e   r   takes FOREVER to come up, so I may be dealing with two-two-two issues at once!

Wowza!   I've been hassling with a learning curve problem for the last few hours and just now got a look at my inbox.  I'd say the problem is fixed!  I'm going to change my settings back to normal.
