It's a great sign of love when they lick each other.
Cool. I had a beautiful Norwegian friend when I lived in London. Her name was Nina Spilling from Oslo. I often wonder what happened to her.
I'm so, so glad that they're getting on now. It's such a relief. She's gone from not letting him within three meters of her, to caring so much for him. They had their vaccinations today and he let out a little mew, and she instantly jumped up onto the vets table and nuzzled him. It was so sweet!

That's so weird! I used to live in Essex, just outside of London, and now I live just outside of Oslo! XD Small world!

Never been to Scandinavia though I would like to. I know they all speak amazingly good English, but do you need to also speak Norwegian?

What does XD mean?

I wish I did! I'm learning at the minute, but having only lived here a month, it's going slowly! I'm starting to pick up little bits here and there, though, and can do the basics, like ask for things, etc! Thankfully literally everyone under 70 speaks some level of English so I can get by!

It's just a random smiley face! I think I type it out of habit :D

Norway is a very civilized very small country. Can you tell us something about the stray cat population there. From posts from different countries around the world here, it seems more people let their cats outside than we do here.

From what I've seen and heard, there's a reasonable stray problem here, or at least a fairly large outdoor-semi-feral cat problem. Especially in this area, there're lots of un-neutered large toms (primarily long haired mixes, though there's also a very high maine coon and NFC population)

When looking for our kitties, we found a lot of people were abandoning/trying to rehome their cats for various reasons, sadly, but there was also a massive adoption rate. (60+ people were interested in Elizabeth, when we got her)

I've definitely seen more large, ragged looking outdoor cats than cats that look like typical family cats than I did in the UK, that's for sure, but that may just be due to the environment. (Less urban areas, much more naturey)
