You took a piece of my heart with you today my precious Bogart. My
Bogart
, my Boogie-boy, my Booglie-woogs, my Booger-boy, my Boogie-man. There are no words that can describe what you meant to me.

You were my love, my sleep partner, my house ambassador, and personal welcoming party to all new cats. You put up with so much on my behalf! Not once did you ever fight with anyone in the house. You were loved by all and all will miss you.

For 13 glorious years you slept on my hair. You comforted me when I was down and you only asked for love in return. Your illness took everything out of you, yet you still managed to give me love in the end.

I truly hope there is a rainbow bridge, and you are romping there with your friends Max, Boris, Natasha and Sammie-kins. Sammie-kins loved you so much! She was afraid of the world unless you were at her side to comfort her.

I held you today as you crossed over and I gave you a lock of my hair to take with you. I'll cry a river of tears to release the pain, but you will always be in my heart.

Oh Amy, I'm so sorry for your loss. Bogart was a special, special boy, and he knew above all else how much you adored him. Just as we know just from your posts here.

Bogart is free from pain now, happy and healthy again, and although temporarily torn from you he lives still amongst his family waiting for you to join them all.

Your beloved Bogart will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge so you can both cross over and he can take up his rightful place on your pillow. Poor sweetie.

I'm so sorry for your loss of Bogart. {{{{HUGS}}}}

He's at the RB now with his friends and waiting to greet you there so you all can go together.

He's watching you and hoping that as time passing the memories won't die but the overwhelming sadness does and you look upon the times you both shared as fond times.

RIP Bogart dear
.

Take care.

I'm so very sorry for your heartbreaking loss. Remember that Bogart will always be watching over you, and that you'll see him and your other sweet babies again one day. He is at peace now and knows how much you've always loved him.

Thank you all for your comforting thoughts. I had Bogart cremated and picked up his urn today. A lovely ceramic urn with cats etched all around it. There is one grey cat that looks just like Bogart and I like to think it is Bogart surrounded by all his buddies.

My cat household is in a turmoil as I suspected it would be. They all show their grief in so many different ways - from sulking to spraying to fighting to withdrawing. It's going to be a long haul helping everyone to heal and bring some normalcy back to the house. I never realized that we had "pillow envy" in the house - 4 of them are trying to claim his spot next to my head each night. What has helped me most through all of this is helping my furbabies thru their adjustment - they always come first after all!

Oh I am so sorry - this must be so painful for you. Bogart was beautiful.

I truly believe that there is a beautiful place such as the rainbow bridge where he is right now and is pain free and happy - and he will never forget you and all you did for him. Bless you.

May you forever play at the Rainbow Bridge and be free from your pain, and take care of Amy as you smile at the memories of your wonderful times together, Bogart.

I am so sorry. I am thinking of you at this time.

This poem helped me when my beloved Munchie had to go:

A POEM FOR THE GRIEVING...
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die...
-Anonymous

I hope that it gives you some comfort.
