I seriously need advice,im really freaked out and worried.long story short i have a rescue that is about 7mths,i had her for 3days now. Shes eating fine, very friendly, yest i noticed she was peeing small amounts in differnt places, she peed on me a few times,i thought maybe the new enviorment, but today i noticed her urine is pink,i watched her in the litter box and she looks like shes trying but nothin comes out. Im really worried, she has an apt to see a vet but its on fri. Im gonna call another vet tmr to see if i can get her in asap. What should i do in the meantime?i read scary things online, and how they need to be seen right away.in only 3 days i fell inlove and want to help her in any way possible. I dont know how long shes been like this, like i said i rescued her 3 days ago from in front of my house. Shes been eating gravy lovers fancy feast with alil xtra water added because she hasnt drank from her water bowl. Would she be ok waiting till her apt on fri?

Just make sure she is still passing urine even if it's a little. There's not anything else you can do. Your vet knows she is passing blood and still says Friday is the earliest? If so, I think I'd find another vet to care for your cat. Most decent ones will fit you in ASAP.

Where do you think?
Honestly I'd be going to emergency if it gets really bad. Sounds like urinary tract crystals or stones to me. If this is the case you will have to put her on a prescription diet for the remainder of her life. This keeps crystals from forming in the first place.

In the meantime watch her closely if you notice straining or crying out take to emergency immediately as this means she is blocked and unable to empty the bladder. This is serious and can cause death within a few hours.

Definitely don't wait to take her in. I had a kitty who did this twice, first time a bladder infection, second time a bladder stone, needing surgery. It's very painful for them. Let us know how it turns out!

I've had two male cats in my life with the same issue. Both times it was diagnosed as crystallization of the urine. I put them both on urinary tract health food and the problem went away. It did take a round of antibiotics first. A lot of foods have a high phosphorus/ash content which causes the problem. See a vet and try a new food. It should clear up permanently.

It's been a week, so I'm assuming that the cat has been to the vet.  What was the outcome?  Maybe I missed something in these posts.

Apple cider vinegar from health food store.
I hope she is all right. This is not good advice - until you know the reason and type of crystals/blockage she has, anything acidic could make it worse, and could be very painful. Please let us know how things are.

I took her to the vet 6 days ago,she was started on amox 2xs a day,but still has blood in her urine??shes no longer struggling to urinate but still urinating inside and outside the box. She's very alert, eating well, playing, drinking alot of water,so im not sure whats going on?i think she might be in heat as well. I have her in a safe room in the basement, super comfortable bed, toys. Im so stressed out because with a full time job coming home to clean her room, bed and litter box everyday its been alot. I spend as much time with her as possible.i havev2 ppl that are willing to adopt her but im already attached.i dont wanna give up on her,i want to get her better so i can get her fixed, get her shots and get her upstairs with us. I know shes lonely in her saferoom.shes a very affectionate cat that constantly loves attention, but i have 2 other rescues upstairs so i cant bring her up until shes tested for Diseases. I feel so alone with everything,im trying my best to make her happy and healthy and i feel like nothing is working.any advice is very much appreciated.

Ive read and the vet also told me stress could trigger blood in urine. Maybe shes stressed from being in the same room all day?? I know she also is not urinating everywhere on purpose, because yest i was playing with her,she was rolling on the floor to get a toy i had and her urine came out alil, she has no signs of sickness.

Very very cute. When they are in heat things don't always good as they should also UTI symptoms don't go away immediately so the other behavior things done go away either. She passing urine so that's good. You are doing the best you can do. Take a breath. Best case scenario is she gets in the the Vet sooner but if that's not an option make sure she is eating and drinking and not in distress. She will be ok. When the UTI goes away and she's fixed the peeing o/s the box should also go away as well.
