The breed is probably domestic medium hair.  He is a a flame point, as you say.  (possibly a creme point - I have often difficult to see exactly.   If he is a barn cat he was much in the cold, and has probably darkened more than an inside only cat - so creme point is fully possible).

Again a little difficult to see if its medium or longhair (its really the same gene).  For the exact diagnose, it depends on how he looks in the winter contra on the summer half year.   If this here is his wintercoat, he is mediumhair.  If this here is his summer coat, he is longhair...  :)

His jawline is quite strong, rather broad and quadratish.  There may be thus some Maine coon ancestry.  Or at least, an ancestry with the natural stock, from which the MCO were purebred from.

To say siamese mix is another way to say a point, or colorpoint as some say...  Everyone  know what a siamese mix may look, but not so many know the word of point...

Technically he IS of course a siamese mix, but the latest siamese around may have been 50 generations back, just the gene wandering down the river of life.

So what they do, they say the easiest to say,  but dont speculate if there is some nearer ancestry to any known breed.

Look, int he world of purebred Russian blue, there are born now and then in a litter one or two kittens, completely look alikes of siamese old type.  All lthe others in the litter and the parents and grandparents etc, are typical, purebred Russian blue.

Its because they used some blue pointed siameses in the breeding programme way back 60-70 years ago.  But havent used actively known point carriers in the RB breeding in the last 50 years.  Yet they do occur now and then, if two carriers do mate.
