This is my lovely girl Freya. The shelter I got her from speculates that she might be an Abyssinian mix.

It is hard to see from the pictures but she has a very distinct dark ridge of colour down her spine.

Her personality is not cuddly but she is playful and loves to sit on me (NOT in my lap, but is i'm laying on my tummy she loves to sit on my back!) or nuzzle my neck. She does not care much to be picked up or pet, she is very particular! She will however let me pick her up for a little bit but doesn't care for it much. She is playful, she loves her toy mice and will carry them around while meowing. Her fav place to be is the top tier of the cat tree! She is a shy and cautious cat, though I only have had her for three months so she might still be warming up to me.

She is at least a ticked tabby.  Not a very common solution, and its the Abysynnians whom are most renown for it.  That is surely why the shelter thought it may be an Aby mix...  Maybe so.   :)

Anyways, you got yourself a nice cat, and she has a good owner whom respect her and her individuality.    :)

That was my thought too, she might at least be a mixed or just a ticked tabby. Either way she's a beautiful gal!

The more time I spend with her the more I come to understand her unique personality, she has to be in the mood for pets or being picked up and has only really warmed up to me, she loves to express her love by nuzzling me :D she's the kind of cat that makes you earn her love and when she decides to show it it becomes that much more special!
