Stray Cat with flea, help

Hello,

It's been 1 week that i have been feeding a stray cat, he now come everyday to get food, but the cat seems to have flea and other insect on him.

Do you have any cheap one time solution to get rid of these flea and other insect on him, i said cheap and one time solution, because i am a student living on my own with not much money, and i can't afford to spend my money every month on anti flea product.

I have been thinking of buying him a anti flea collar, would it be good for a stray cat that is living outdoor?

Flea collars on outside cats aren't good.  They can get caught on things and if you can't catch the cat to take it off, the cat can outgrow it and be strangled.

There are all sorts of anti-flea products.  I use Revolution, which I get from the vet.  One dose is about $20-25.  Of course, the problem is that all such products like it should be applied once a month.

Even if you got rid of the fleas with one application, they'd be back soon enough.
