Like a friend!

Oh my gosh, I am really upset. I just found out that the little local Ma and Pa store around the corner has a new owner! Everyone is gone and I didn't get to say goodbye. I mean I have lived here for 10 years and they have pretty much had the same employees that whole time. And the same owner. And you know how sometimes the only people you see consistently in life is the people at the local stores! I know this may sound weird but I feel like I have lost a really good solid friend.

Plus I am bummed I didn't get to say goodbye. They didn't put up a sign or anything so I have been just walking in and saying hi like usual, totally clueless.

Oh well I just had to share. I am misty at this late hour!

What's a Ma & Pa store? Does that mean Husband & Wife?

Thanks. I thought I was nuts getting this upset until a friend of mine said how upset she got when the local family deli closed.

Why do things have to change? I don't get it sometimes...

Oh and Ma and Pa store is a figure of speech, meaning like family owned. It was one man who owned it, but he had the same employees for all those years. And he used to do home deliveries for local seniors.

*sigh* I bummer to see him go.

I know how you feel Marge.. happens way too many times over here... they just move out without saying a single thing... hope you meet them on the streets someday!
