My sweet Cheshire Cat loves to cuddle. I've had him since he was 7 weeks old, and he's a total snuggle bug! However, my cat Elvira is another story. She's 2 months younger than Cheshire, and I got her when she was 7 weeks old as well. She is not cuddly at all!! Every once in a blue moon she will curl up in my lap or beside me to snooze and let me love on her, but not very often! She hates being picked up & will try to get away as soon as you grab her, she hates being loved on, & hates being petted for more than a few minutes! I know that cats, like people, have different personalities, but I wish she was a little more cuddly! Any ideas on how to get her to be more affectionate?? Or should I just accept that she is a sassy, independent little diva?

Forgot to mention, but Cheshire will be 1 on March 19. Elvira will be 1 on May 18.

My cat rarely cuddles for more than a couple of minutes, except for on my legs while I'm asleep.  She always was that way, but she has become a little more affectionate as she has gotten older ( she'll be 6 months come Feb), an I suspect she'll be "normal" by adulthood.
