So my cat has never been the type to not bury her poo but all of a sudden she has stopped burying it, i don't know why every time i look it up and try to find out why this is, the reasons for this behavior is nt right. ex. it says that they will do it if the litter box is to small my litter box it pretty large and she is a small adult cat so that's not it, then another one is they don't like the feeling of it because its a different brand or type. i have been using the same litter for a year now ( she is a year old ) so that's not it. then the next one is she doesn't like the smell of the litter but like i said before same litter i been using for a year now. and before she was fine. the last one was location she doesn't like where the litter box is at, its been in the same location for a year. so what is the problem? why is she acting this way is she just being lazy or what i mean i put a lot of litter in the box and by the end of the day there is literally one poo or pee ( i clean it every night ) so i know its not because not enough litter to use i don't know whats going on with her does anyone have any ideas?

Do you have any new animals in the house ?  A new kitten, dog, cat, parrot?  Because sometimes they don't bury when they are making a statement that it is their territory.

Alternatively, if they have developed tapeworm from fleas or roundworm from various other sources, they will often leave the poop for you to see.  How else can they tell you?

Finally, even if you are using the same kind of litter you have been using, it is possible the company has changed it.  It may be more dusty than it used to be, or they may have changed the scent, if it had one (most cats prefer unscented litter).

You might try buying one bag of Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract litter and use it, and see if that encourages her to bury her poop again. Often it works.
