My cat is spayed showing signs of heat and pregnancy

Hi everyone! Sorry, I'm new, and my cat (Angel) has had some behavior changes. I'm talking about eating more, becoming more affectionate, having nesting behavior (She goes into my closet and makes a blanket bed) , showing her stomache, and volcalizing (all though the volcalizing has ended). After that, I decided to do some research and my results mostly matched its. It said my cat might not be pregnant, but in heat, but some results matched the pregnancy test, like her stomache getting bigger, being calmer, at times restless, sleeping more on some days, but not very much. About the only thing I haven't seen is pinking up. Now moving on to my second problem:

When I adopted this pet from a shelter Angel (She's a Mackerel Tabby) they said she was a year old, and had been spayed. They said they got her from another shelter (Key Detail), and that she was spayed. They said they got the kitten from that shelter because that shelter had to many kittens (Also a key detail). So, if that was the reason that they have the kitten to the shelter I was at, then if they had a spaying session, imagine all the cats they would have to spay in 1-2 days! They might not have performed the operation properly (especially if they were doing at the shelter) and failed. I know Angel was spayed because of the shaved hair, tattoo, and scar on her stomach. So this may be a false alarm, but I am worried. Anyway, it looks like my cat has been spayed at 6-8 months old, before the shelter I got Angel from got given her ( They only had her for a month or so) .
Sorry this theory and post in all was so long, I'll try to keep everyone posted. BTW right now I have a cardboard box set up with food, water, litter box, and my cats bed. I'll post pictures of Angel if necessary, and please correct me if my cat is not pregnant. Thanks!

Sorry. Bad grammar. I meant too many kittens. Also my kittens name is Angel, not the shelter. Sorry for any confusion.

Has she been around intact males? Can you take her to a vet?

M

She is an indoor cat and we haven't let her out before so I don't think she would have been unless she was with one at one of the shelters. It would be possible for me to take her to the vet. Should I ask for an ultra sound and an x-ray?

It is possible that she was spayed and is in heat.  If they don't get all the ovarian tissue then the hormones that causes heat cycles would be present.  I would take her to a vet and tell them what is going on.  If she isn't pregnant they can do a blood test that will detect the hormones in her system.

How long have you had her?

Your neighbor's cat is not neutered? And she's been around him? When was the last time she was around him?

Other things can look like pregnancy (we just recently had a thread in which the owner was SURE the kitty was pregnant, but he turned out to be a boy and just had worms :tongue2:). Since she has a spay scar and tattoo, I think it's much more likely that she's spayed. They have methods to ensure nobody gets missed when they have a mass spay event, although of course there's always a small chance that their methods failed. But I think it's a veryvery small chance.

Ok thanks. My cat hasn't been around my neighbors cat as far as I know, so I don't think that she bread with him.

If she hasn't been around any males since you've had her, then she was pregnant before you got her. She really needs to see a vet.

OK, yeah, if she hasn't been around any males since you got her, if she is pregnant she has to be at least a month, 2 weeks, and 3 days along :D. And usually at that point they're showing quite a lot. I think you'd better have the vet take a look.

Ok thanks. I'll schedule an appointment for next Saturday or Sunday.

Just a quick update. My cat escaped two times by now and we got her back in both times. She was only out for 3-5 minutes max. She headed for our neighbors house and we stopped her from going their. 3 days before she escaped our neighbors cat was on our yard. Also if I didn't mention it yet I did not spay the cat the shelter I got it from said it was spayed but they were just taking pictures of the cat to post online incase someone wanted the cat but they didn't post the pictures because we adopted it that very day which might they didn't have the cat for very long . My cat has gained more wieght and I am now leaving the bag open for part of the day incase she wants extra food. I give her wet kitten food every so often now just incase. She will sometimes bite or scratch if you pet near/on her stomache.

Adding on to this the shelter allowed us a free vet visit for some reason and it seems kind of odd to me. Maybe for her vaccinations/medications although they told us she had no medical issues. They also said her scar was healing from being spayed so I think the scar was fresh. They kept Angel in an open room with a black cat but I think the black cat was a female.
