I just noticed my cat had a small red rash on his head. He had one in the exact same spot a few months ago but it went away after a few days after I applied Neosporin. At the time I thought he had hit something and scraped himself. There is still fur growing out of it and it is not balding. It is very small and doesn't seem to be ringworm. It also doesn't bulge outwards and seems just to be reddening on the surface. Some of the hair follicles in the pink area are red. I don't know if it's allergies or just that he scraped the exact same spot as before. He has been having a slight cold these couple of days with sneezing but still has a good appetite. Has anyone ever seen something like this?

Looks like it could be a rash, from scratching, brushing against something (branches or a screw sticking out of a chair bottom?). I am pretty sure I've seen that on my cats before.

For myself, if I notice something like that or scratches on the nose I just keep an eye on it. Maybe apply some Neosporin to help it heal. Since you have seen it before I'd make a note (I'd include the photos and weather condition) somewhere you'll remember it so that if it comes back again you have a definitive record to report to the vet.  If you notice it getting redder, bigger, or fur loss in the area that could be signs it is infected or something more and you would want to check with the vet.

My cat has gotten that from scratching too much, usually due to seasonal allergies. Has the weather been crazy where you are?

One of my cats has similar rashes a couple of times a year along with a lot of sneezing 'colds', he does it by scratching himself due to seasonal allergies. Keep an eye on him to see if he's scratching more than usual.
