we have a huge outdoor kennel, we have 8 ferals, 1 girl, rest boys.  they sleep and eat in this kennel but door open, they can come and go.  we caught the mother and brought her inside to get fixed tomorrow, when we release her in few days, is she going to not trust us anymore-is she going run away and never come back-do u think she will be scared go back inside the kennel.  we have 7 ferals who are hers, she had few litters, will they follow her and ever come back-any suggestions

She values food and safety over the short term catch and release. She might go further away for a few days but she will return when she is hungry. Regardless of what happened, it is her territory and she won't abandon it over something she will forget within a week or two.

I had the same questions when started the TNR on our feral;s. I was concerned we would never see them again but they are all still here. I was told in most cases it makes them more friendly but have found that is not always true. It can happen that way but it may not also based on the 5 we did the TNR. I was reading the other day on one comment that cats that had Tortoiseshell  color were more shy or harder to tame. Based on one little feral girl this may well be true. Good luck with the TNR!
