Hello everyone, i'm Emily (I'm new here). :wavey:

Anywho, so i got this 1 year old male cat, and i got him this Friday! Ever since he came he has been hiding under my parents' bed! Sometimes he gets out of his "hiding spot" and looks around. He even went into my room and the toilets. The problem is that if he gets scared he quickly runs under the bed! He's not afraid of me, he sits with me (in the room), sits on me, lay down besides me, and let me pet him. He has been using his litterbox, eating and drinking. He just wont get out of the room, and my mom is getting tired of it.

What do i do?

that's not a problem, it's pretty normal.  it's a new place and will take some time for the cat to get used to.  is your cat eating, drinking and using the litter box?  if so, don't worry.  let him run under the bed so he can feel safe.  when possible, go in the room while he's under the bed and talk to him; if you can't think of anything to say, read him a book.  he'll probably gradually become braver when he realizes his new home isn't dangerous and that you're trustworthy.

if it bothers your mom, maybe you can let him hide under your bed.  you can lure him there by putting tuna under the bed.
