Hello bluebritish, welcome to TCS :wavey:

You got a cute kitten here. She does look like a British Shorthair and blue is most often seen. What her name?

Do browse around and you'll find many interesting and informative article and threads here. And also do post more of your kitty photos please ;)

Definite blue (AKA grey ... AKA gray .... AKA Maltese) coloring. Some of the biggest giveaways of adult fur length at that age is fluffy toe tufts and ear tufts. Can't see the former and not seeing the latter so I am going to guess short hair.

Beyond that.... kinda too young to really tell fully. Some of the adult features just don't show up until they grow up and for the larger breeds that can be as late as 2 years old. Yours does have the rounder shape I would expect from a British Shorthair but that could be well fed kitten roundness. If she maintains the same body shape as she grows she may well be British Shorthair or very closely related. But I would post another picture when she gets older to get better guesses.

For example, my Link is likely part Siamese and some of those body shape features you would expect just weren't there as a baby. If you look at his baby picture:

It is kinda hard to see the long and angular cat he would grow up to be. Although he has always had big ears and paws:

Yeah,  this is a good comparison.  Yet, this kitten is pretty young, 3-4 weeks?  Essentially an orphan, needing almost the same care as an rescued orphan.  Needing his Momma.

But healthy, it makes everything much easier.  (Sorry for this rant, Im one of those whom helps to give advices to the orphans rescuers)

OK.  Kittens this age tends to look as teddy bears, but very often grows out of this when adults.  So we really cant know at this moment what your kitten will be...

Just to proceed, and wait on the brilliant future to come!    :)

Good luck!
