is March a really windy month for everyone else or is it just something that happens in Minnesota? It's been really windy here for the last few days, and this morning, we have wind gusts of up to 40 mph. I have to go to work, I can hear the wind blowing the tree branches around, and I'm almost afraid to go outside (might get blown away.) We have a large pine tree in the yard that has literally been torn apart by the wind, about 1/4 of the branches are now laying on top of my clothesline. I heard a splitting sound a few minutes ago...it must have been that tree again. I never liked that tree anyway, so it's ok with me if the wind blows the whole thing down.

We have a saying about March here, and it's "In like a lion, out like a lamb."
It's definitely been coming in like a lion.

What is the weather like for everyone else?

Its windy here too. And my allergies are worst around this time.
I think its because of the change of season into spring so its a positive thing in my eyes

It's been very windy here! For the past couple of weeks it's been blowing 30 to 40 mph all the time with gusts of 45+. It literally feels like it's going to blow you away if you don't have anything blocking the wind. Hopefully it'll start to calm down a bit...soon!

Back in PA, March was always really windy. Here in Germany, December seems to be the windiest month, and the time when hurricanes strike. March here is just plain wet.

It's been hot here in Southern California. I haven't noticed it being windy, but on the news they say that it is windy in the outlying area's, especially where all of the big fires were. Right here in the Los Angeles area, it's just been HOT.

Interesting, I didn't realize strong gusty wind in March was so common. We still have strong winds right now, but it's gotten a just little bit calmer.

It can get pretty windy in Utah in March too and also in Michigan. I think it's a pretty common thing in much of the U.S. That saying was common in Michigan and is in Utah as well.

Yup, a fair bit of wind here, too. I figure it's Mother Nature doing her pruning. (Unfortunately she doesn't make exceptions for fibreglass awnings, so we're waiting for the landlord to get on that before he has to replace 3 panels, instead of just 2.)

It's usually windy in Pennsylvania in March. I hate to see winter leave though. I really enjoy the wintertime and love the snow.
I'm not looking forward to the spring/summer. My favorite months are Oct-Mar. Lisa & Sash
