Hi there, I am so sorry this has happened. I really think you should get Alice to another vet as soon as possible. Today if possible or in the next couple days. Just to make sure that she is okay. You mentioned some fluid leaked out from her sutures. This could be a sign of infection. Or because this vet doesn't know what he's doing, it could be that she is not fully closed up internally and is bleeding. Please keep us updated. And again I'm so sorry.

Did the vet give her anything for pain? Spayed or not she was opened up and should have received pain meds.

Where do you think?
I agree with everyone here. I also have never heard of a cat being too fat for a spay. Pregnant I know can't be spayed because it's harmful to babies (abortion) but that's another ethical issue altogether.

If you don't mind could you convert 2km to lbs. I've never heard of km (kilometers?) being used to measure weight.

Pregnant cats can be spayed. It's up to the owner and vet if they want to proceed, but it's entirely possible.

I know its possable I just didn't want to start the abortion argument since it's a rather sensitive topic.
I feel it's important to clarify.  You said above that it's not possible and that it's harmful to babies, and that's really the whole debate.

I've never heard of km (kilometers) being used to measure weight is this a typo? 2 kg is actually quite thin if this is what you meant my Hector was 4 kg when she was spayed.

Sounds like the vet didn't really know what they where doing.

I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through @leen and alice  . It does sound like this vet was very inexperienced. 2 .5 kilograms is only around 5lbs, actually quite slim and no reason for a good vet to be unable to spay her.

I suggest you find another vet as soon as you can. It would be better if she could be spayed before her stitches heal up so that the next vet doesn't have to make an incision through scar tissue. Also, as the first vet made such a bad job of things, it would be better if a more experienced vet could check that there is no internal bleeding and give her some antibiotics to prevent infection.

I understand that you are in the Middle East and that things are different over there, but I'm sure there are a lot of responsible pet owners in the city you live in, so there must be some good vets. Do you have any friends who have cats? Could they recommend a vet for you?

Maybe some of the clinics listed here are close by?

Please keep us posted. Vibes for you and your sweet girl.

Today I took Alice to hr normal vet (1 hour away ) and he checked her out
He said that shes doing really great! And the stitching is A OKAY! .. he also said NEVER to go to that vet again ( of course Im not going to anyway) ... Oh and my dad told me that when he took alice from the "so called doctor" another client said that the doctor couldnt "find" his cat's womb either!! Hmmm.. whats WRONG with this "doctor" .. I'm not even sure he graduated from a vet university .. ANXJZUDIIASJDHH.. Its really frusturating to find people like this killing or injuring other peiple,s cat/s! .. thats wrong in like a 1000000 ways .. and Alice in the other hand made HUGE progress!![emoji]128515[/emoji] shes eating / drinking on her own .. she moves ( but not plays) well! Im so relieved[emoji]128515[/emoji][emoji]128515[/emoji] THANK YOU EVERYONE

Glad to hear she's doing well! And that she's been cleared by a real vet. Thanks for the update.

Hi everyone

AGHHHHHH I was sick so I couldnt really check alice or anything ..and just yesterday I noticed a big bumpy thing on Alice's stomach..it want really hard so I told my parents to take her since I have something to do the next day

anyways today in the afternoon when I got back they told me that the doctor said its normal and its blood piled up on the stitches or whatever and he pulled some blood from the needle .. Alice looked as if she was in pain and had no intrest in  her wet food whatsoever .. but managed to eat a little bit of dry. Then a while ago we couldnt find her in the house  ! we searched and serached .... I was about to die, thats when I found her hiding behind a little table in the small storage room - its opened a little crack- anyways I tried reaching for her but she bit my hand so I definetly knew that she was in pain ,, so I brought he litterbox, food bowl, her comfy little cat cave ...HGFCQYUGFCDQWUJWHGVUVDHRUJFGDECURGEFDERDXEREO

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE THIS PAST WEEK WAS SO FRUSTURATING ..AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I WISH I DIDNT ''spay'' HER CXIKHIDCWDUHFHUDFUH

its all that ************* so called ''vet'' I HOPE HIS LOUSY LITTLE CLINIC fails. Why couldnt my experience go something more like other people's!? my anxiety level is up the roof and Im hating every second

I dont know what do anymore ..please help me asap

Okay step one: breathe! You have to take care of yourself before you will be any help to her.
You said your parents took her to the vet and he said it was normal and wasn't concerned. Did he say anything else? Signs to watch out for? Follow up visits? It's a good sign that he wasn't too concerned. But she is obviously not feeling well. It could be that she is recovering from the stress of the vet appointment and just needs a bit of time. Or it could be that something else is going on. I would give the vet a call and let them know how she is behaving. They may have some advice for you and phone calls are free! It's important that they know of any negative signs. See what they say. And in the meantime just provide her whatever she needs. A friend by her side, or quiet time alone. A comfy safe place to hide. Whatever she needs. You can try hand feeding her some wet food and see how she does. Gentle pets on the head are okay but I would avoid handling her body in any way. Keep a very close eye on her and keep us updated. Most importantly keep your vet updated.

As for the other "vet" is there any way he can be reported?? I would advise any rescues or shelters in the area so they can spread the word. If you have a local newspaper or reporting service write up a story and submit it. Try to find some review websites online and write about it everywhere you can. Ask if your vet would give an interview explaining the damage he saw with your cat after her failed spay. Do whatever you possibly can to spread the word.

I think she needs to go back to the good vet for antibiotics and possibly painkillers.

You also need to make a plan with your vet for when he wants to do the spay.

as I said she isnt eating anything so I started searching the web on how to feed a cat that wont eat and I came across  on feeding her with a syringe and I happened to have one at home ( from the time I saved a baby pigeon and fed it with it) .. anyways I told my mom about it and she helped me .She held Alice and put a towel on her neck while I gave her the water ...
and it seemed to work! and she on the other hand seemed really thirsty . Now she's resting

and oh,  I  checked her gums for any yellow and they were pink as always! YAY

I think she may need antibiotics. Can you take her back to the vet?
